Ok, I have even tried freezing bottled water in a clean ice cube tray and then letting the cubes melt in a clean glass of room temp bottled water and there is still white particles floating around in the water. I have also frozen a sealed unopened bottle of water and found there to be particles floating in it after its melted. I haven’t tried distilled water yet but I think I’m almost curious enough too until I find out what that white stuff in my tap and bottled ice water is.
i heard that brita filters can leak dangerous chemicals into water. does anybody have any more info on that subject?
Does anyone know if a brita water filter ment to replace Kenmore part number 9010 will fit and function as Kenmore part number 9030? The brita filters are MUCH cheaper, but I want to know that it will work before I buy it.
I know you cannot use soap in the jug since it could leave a residue in your refilled drinking water. I assume you use a bit of bleach and cold water to clean your water jug… does anyone know the amount? and the exact way to safely do this?
I was also told a while back of a way to refresh the water jug with baking soda (this is a side question - but not the main one!)…
the jugs are one gallon drinking water jugs that have never been used for anything besides water. We have a local station where we can fill jugs of spring water for 25cents. I have about 15 jugs and would like to use the station - but not before my jugs are sanitized.
any help?
I had to cut my water on and off for a few days b/c the water has been running inside the water heater. It seems like the water problem was coming from the bath tub. I had to replace the shower and the bath knobs for it to stop running. Now I am getting cold water due to this problem. How do I get the hot water to work again after cutting it on and off?
How to recycle the water poured out from my washing machine during the rinse and spin cycles? Can i use this water in a treated/untreated form for watering my garden? Would save me tons of water especially in the comming summer season! How can we make this water useable?
From my previous question, I have ascertained the water in Manila is soft. What is in the water that shouldn’t be? I am specifically talking about the city line, not deep well.
We have water that (at times) smells like a sewer and leaves water stains very easily. I am trying to get better quality water, however I am not concerned with making it potable. I will cotinue to buy drinking water.
Our salt water tank has had alot of algae and I need to take out the fake coral and decorations. What can I use to clean them besides just water?
For the water cooler in my office? He is just so cute and I am very thirsty.
The water filter cartridge is bolted to the frame, and the drip pan is overflowing onto my kitchen floor. I used to carry the drip pan from my old fridge to the sink to empty it and wash it.
I need to replace the air pressure relief valve that lets the air out of the water system of my oil fired hot water furnace. I am having trouble locating one.
If you put a coffee filter on a cup with a rubber band, then run any kind of water through it, is the water inside the cup pure?
I’ve heard that regular tap water is just as good as bottled water. So do the pur filters really filter out much more of the already clean tap water? is it just a scam?
