Hi, I have a 40 gallon tank, I have a great filter, the emperor 400, which works up to 80 gallons.

I am brand new to the fish/tank game and I would like to know…I change the filter cartridges every few weeks but I also need to change 25-50% of the water from the tank…now this might be a very stupid question, but how do i get the water out of the tank? since i cant simply lift the tank, what are the usual ways to get the water out….

especially for people with 50, 80, 100 gallon tanks….thank you for your answers.

my refrigerator’s water filter replace reminder light is on, want to replace it, but can’t find where the water filter is on, is it on the bottom, inside or behind the fridge?

I know that the sound of water flowing is calming and nice, so i brought a nice water fountain that has three candles on it with rocks underneath it, but i just read that water fountains are not good in regards to the feng shui? is this correct, and if so, what should i do because i want my bedroom to be a calming, yet interesting place to reside and sleep in. thanx. help.

i want to know the step by step procedure on how to determine the microbial load of a certain water sample (purified water). i want to use the membrane filtration method to do this microbial load determination. i want to know how much volume of water is allowed to pass thru the filter. is it tested undiluted? or do i need to dilute it in a buffer solution? how to compute for the colony forming units (bacteria and molds) found on the filter after the incubation period. how to report the results? what is the allowable count for purified water? can you give any reference or literature for this?

I’m testing a steam reforming catalyst, feeding water through a vaporizer to get superheated steam that vaporizes an isooctane feed. The mix vapor is fed over the catalyst. Recently my steam feed line completely plugged up with solidified potassium compounds, and the entire group has no idea where potassium might have come from. The water is ultra-pure (18.2MΩ-cm), the tubing is all 316 stainless, the isoocatne is reagent grade, and the tracer gas feed is UHP N2. Anybody have any ideas? The water reservoir is just an HDPE jug, flowing through an HPLC pump with a 15 micron filter on the outlet. Anybody ever seen potassium contamination before that can help me out?

i use satinique dandruff shampoo and no conditioner. Yet i still have dandruff just after 2 days and they are more like little wet sticky thing in your nails. should i continue with ceramid infusion system.

I’m looking for a good R.O. water filter that that doesn’t require purchasing a replacement cartridge every few months. I currently use an Aqua Wizard, and I really like it, but I have to replace the filter every 8-10 weeks. What kind do you use, how much does it cost and how much are the replacement filters?

I recently purchased a Pur Water Filter. Now the aerator part has gone down the tube and is spraying everywhere, I want to remove the unit from my faucet. When I go to turn it though it’s stuck.

Are there any tips? Suggestions? Tools? To help me remove this thing?

How do I remove the water that is in the water cooling system. I mean theres water in the tubes and if I disconnected that, it would just leak all over my components.

What exactly is this green film? Is it dangerous and is it preventable?
