I have some 5 gal Culligan water bottles for my dispenser and wanted to know the best way to clean it. Are there any types of kits I can get like scrubs or brushes to clean the inside? Should I just use bleach?

this is my first time having a water softener and im not sure on a few things, first can you drink it? if not, will the filter in my fridge make it safe to drink and dose it usually go to every foset in the house?

im going backpacking, and from what I understand, i need to steer clear of the drinking water. What is a practical and easy way to sanitize tap what in Mexico? I heard iodine tablets are an option, but after a while, wont the iodine start to hurt you? Is there an alternative?

How many bottles of water should I drink daily because right now, I hardly drink one full bottle daily.

So how many bottles of water should I drink daily and will I feel any different if I start doing this except for the going to the bathroom part?

P.S. I’m using the Poland Spring Water Bottle, not the big bottles like Dasani

What’s a better water filter for a faucet, Brita, PUR, or Zero?
I’ve been buying bottled water, but we drink so much I have to buy another 24 pack each week, and it is very expensive. So I want to buy a water filter for my faucet because our tap water is horrible, which one has the best tasting water and is a reasonable price? Brita, PUR or Zero?

The sink is directly across from the fridge and my house sits on concrete slab so there really isn’t a way to run it from there. Outside my house there’s a water outlet (for lack of a better term.. We bought a high end foreclosure with a very nice water softener. We were told by some neighbors to get 3 40 lb. bags of potassium at Home Depot. I went to the store and saw that it’s 3 times the cost of salt. Is potassium or salt better for it? Does it really make a difference?
