I am part of a group which helps set weekly goals for moving toward home organization. One suggestion is to wash the shower and then wax the shower stall, including tiles, but NOT the floor! Does this mean car wax? Will this cut down on cleaning and discourage mildew or at least reduce soap scum?

I am currently renting a home with central air. When in rains water leaks on the filter then eventually leaks on to the floor into my home. It looks like the unit is directly above where the filter goes in the home. Any one have any ideas??? Also is it unsafe to run the unit when water is dripping onto the filter?

Culligan installed our water softner incorrectly last week and rust was flying out of all of our water spiggots. now our house was built in 1957 and the pipes are very old, galvanized steel. But, when culligan came back last night to reinstall the softner for us corrrectly, the rust that we thought that was spewing was resin, NOT rust. My husband and I fear that our water may be toxic now. Anyone know if this is possible or the case? We have a daughter and we aren’t comfortable with the situation. We may be hotel bound. Are we over reacting? HELP!

I’ve heard that letting drinking water set out in a pitcher or container will let the chlorine evaporate in a short time. Is this right?

I’m from Buffalo, NY and I am very interested in getting a water softening and/or purification system for my house. I am not exactly a "handy man" so I was hoping to dish our the extra money and buy the products/services through a company rather than doing it myself. I’ve heard a few good things about several companies but I want to hear what you all think.

I drink upto 5-6 litres of water a day. Is it normal? Obviously I have to go to bathroom many times to get it drained. Does it depend upon the work environmet? I work whole day in AC, can it affect my water intake? Does it depend upon age?
Thanks!

In the movie Twilight, what is the point of the scene where Bella is drinking water from the tap, and then laughs to herself?

I didn’t catch it this time until is was all water in the tank. Does this shorten the life of the resin?

I have read that Lake Norman has experienced a severe drought and that the water level is just above the intake for the nuclear power plant. If millions of gallons are needed to cool the core, how much would that contribute to the severe water shortage? How will the plant operate if it cannot get water?

Is there a way to dissolve mineral deposits in a water heater so that it can be flushed? I try to drain my water heater, but the mineral deposits only block the drain.
