5) pour 12 cups of water in it than close lid
6)push brew now and put on strong
7) than when it beeps wait 5 mins.
than pour in a pouring container thing
put 1 1/4 sugar in or more i like to put 2 1/4 cups in
9)fill container with water until all the wat filled
10)refrigarate ntil cold and drink

we live in a small town with a HORRIBLE water system. some areas of town, the water is better than others, like my house isn’t too bad, but the office is horrible. my new tank is going in the office, and i don’t want to fill jugs of water and haul them, it would just be easier to get bottles from the store, so, my question is, should i use reverse osmosis water, drinking water, or purified water????? or should i just give them Culligan??? lol

our tap water is so bad that it’s almost brown. trust me, i need to use bottled water.

i do use aquasafe and also, Tetra Easy Balance.
we also, get salt creep from using out normal tap water – on freshwater tanks.

you have no idea how horrible our tap water is.

Last winter i bought a bag of rock salt for my driveway/walk, and it sat there in my basement and its created some sort of artesian spring in my basement. I tried using a dehumidifier, but i have had it running for about a week now and the water still keeps on trickling out of my floor. Anyone have any ideas of how i can stop it!? Heeeelp! Thanks!

For years I have been told that drinking your eight glasses of water a day will rid your body of all impurities from colds to yeast infections.
Is this true?

I know drinking water can’t completely cure you by itself. But could it partially help along with treatment/medicines for the infection in your body?

If I go away for a week, the Texas summer is very hard on my potted plants (peppers, tomatoes, herbs) because I have no one to water them for me. I’ve tried googling for a potted plant slow-release watering system I can put into my plant (changing pots not an option, this would be temporary thing) but can’t find anything.

Everything is set up for a huge garden and I’m looking for a couple of plants in pots!

I need something I can stick into my plants, leave for the week, and then come back and still have alive, healthy plants.

I thought this would be too long-winded to add to the original question, but this will be a gift for my fiance, who is currently mourning the loss of his usual summer potted plants because he had to leave for a week. Little rainfall in his area of Texas.

I’m quite certain there are water ration laws where he is that forbids water consumption during certain hours/days, and I doubt he has access to an outdoor hose faucet. It is also unsafe to have it running from inside his apartment, say through a window, while he is away from the premises.

This device from a garden store that you can attach to a 2 litre bottle of water sounds ideal. It’s what I’ve been trying to find online with no luck. Where can I order one?

I’d like to know which one you have and how you like it. My water is of moderate hardness with a little bit of iron. I want to soften it a touch and remove some of the iron but not completely. I have an average ph level and I don’t want to use salt.
Please no more answers from those of you who have or recommend salt softeners. This question is for those who have alternative softeners to see if they work and how people like them. Example, magnetic systems or catalyst systems ect.

I want to replace my current stainless steel drinking water faucet with something that is in a dark brass finish. Some say that there is more of a deterioration with the brass. Is this with any type of faucet, or only with water is "reverse osmosified?" If this is a problem with the brass and the reverse osmosis filter, does anyone know of a brand of brass cold water faucets that do not corrode with the reverse osmosis filter? I appreciate your thoughts in adavnce.

The water doesn’t smell as it’s coming out of the faucet, but if there is water left on my hands after washing, they will smell once they air dry. The same thing happens to my bathroom cup. I don’t notice it anywhwere else in the house, just his one sink.
