I have a side by side fridge with in-door icemaker / water dispenser. The other day while getting a glass of water, there was no water….the icemaker is working, but the water isn’t coming out of the dispenser.
Upon examining the fridge, I looked at the water filter…it’s a Culligan external filter (model IC-750) and when I took it off, it leaks water (the filter leaks, if it’s turned upside down). Maybe it’s time to be replaced…but how would I know?
I hate being a chick sometimes!!! Does anyone have any clue that might point me in the right direction….like "Yeah, the filter is dirty, that’s why it’s leaking…replace the filter"…or something like that.
Hi again…took the filter off and like I said it was leaking, but I didn’t have a replacement filter…so I put it back on…whoops. Water splashed in my face! I think perhaps the copper tubing is clogged in addition to the filter.

I would like to know what is the best water for baby bottles. I know it’s really the Nursery water but it’s too expensive. SO, basically is distilled better than spring? We have a filter screwed onto our faucet. We used that until it decided to not work for now.
I know I can boil then cool the water. But I don’t want to have to do that.
So, which is better do you think?

Any plumbers out there that can answer this question? Please no guesses! Thanks!
I’m wondering can an Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser be hooked up to a reverse osmosis filter? I have a WaterCare Reverse Osmosis system and was thinking of getting an Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser. But I didn’t want to hook it up just to the cold water line. I could but would be much better to the filter.
Thanks!

I noticed the first time I changed my PUR filter the used one was heavy, like water was in it. I have changed them since then when the time comes and the used ones no longer feel heavy-they weigh the same as the brand new ones I am replacing them with.
Is my water filter working properly? Is the water flowing through the filter?
Thanks for any help.
@FRED
Thanks for replying. I have no idea if I bypassed it. Do I pull the actual filter out of my refrigerator and look on there? Or is this something I would have pressed on the screen on my refrigerator?

My Dad used to say that for every ten degrees you raise the water temperature the cleaning power doubles or something like that. Does anyone have any information about how raising water temperature affects it’s cleaning power?
I’m looking for some kind of relationship between temperature and number of collisions that water molecules have with the dishes. Does anyone know specifically how these two thing relate?

I tend to be dehydrated frequently, and I am aware that this is because of my smoking. My question is this: About how many ml of water do I have to drink in order to make up for the water lost from 1 Marlboro Red Class A (Tar 8mg Nicotine 0.6 mg) cigarette?

We have only had well water since July when we moved into this house. We were told to check the thing that holds the salt every month or so and add salt as needed. It hasn’t dropped since we moved in. Everything in the house is turning rust colored too, tubs, sinks, dishes….help!! What have we missed??

I have a crock style water dispenser for my dogs, and during the winter algae formed in the neck of it. I tried air drying it first, and scrubbing with a (new-never used) wine decanter scrubber with no results. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can get rid of the algae without any harmful chemicals? (If not, looks like I will be purchasing a new one.)
The neck of the crock is way too small to fit any hand in with a scotch brite. But thanks for the suggestion.

I have a water recycle system. The problem is the temperature of the output water is a bit high (38 to 43 Celsius) than my need (31 to 34 Celsius). Now I am maintaining this by mixing fresh water to it. But it is not cost effective. Please give me another solution to keep it low. Thank you.
