sure, lots. But you attach them at the point above ground where the water is being used.
In other words, you can use any filter that you find. It is connected at the output of the pump/water tank combination.

The pump must maintain as much pressure as possible to raise the water column to a usable height and provide pressure for function. For this reason only screen-type strainers are placed at the pump. Filtering usually takes place at the storage point.
