your daughter needs to Floss everyday and brush after every meal. Especially if she has caps on her molars and food is being stored inbetween her teeth there will be an order. if the caps are old, so is the cement that was used to bond the cap to the tooth. the cement could be leaking causing a break in the seal. are the caps Stainless Steel??? also, the foul smell in her mouth can be a Stomach problem. I would consult the dds first and then her ped doctor to rule out anything wrong. relax and get it checked out. you can contact me anytime.
Make her use listerine or chew flavored gum. Something has to work. Try to make her see a dentist and don’t be shy in asking. He must have the answer to your daughter’s problem.
Sometimes bad breath comes from food or vitamin suppliments. Does she floss every night? You also mentioned she has capped molars that are falling out. She might have bacteria that has built up on the molars. She needs to see a dentist first. I understand money issues believe me, but you might be able to make financial arrangements with a local dentist. Pay 1/2 of your co-pay up front and 1/2 in a month or something. 2 years is entirely too long to go without a professional cleaning and check-up. Also, please remember how cruel kids can be. I am sure you don’t want her teased by her classmates about her bad teeth and breath. Save up for the co-pay if you have to, but get her to the dentist. I wish you both the best!
