It contains little minerals and more salt… i wouldn’t personally have it as a daily drinking water. Just give them tap water..

Not at all, I give mine reverse osmosis water since we are on well water
and live ont he coast, so the well water is too salty. The entire house is
revese osmosis so we all drink it. Soft water is safe and taste better than
if you didn’t use a softner
Every dog is different from every other dog and one can react to water as a toxin. "Softened" water means it has been treated. The question is: treated with what–exactly? Take your dog off the treated water and put them on bottled water for a week and notice with your eyes the difference you see in them. Resist the temptation to put them back on the softened water just because it’s easy to do. They don’t need to stay on the bottled water. You’ll just need a clean source. Clean water (plus some minerals that I add) is one of the major rehab tools to get ill dogs better.
