i read you can give tap water now from this age but i don’t even drink tap water so can i give a baby water straight from a brita filter?

Hya, I looked up the same question the other day. You can give a baby tap water after 6 month, so filtered water is more than okay. I got the info from babycentre.com. Hope that helps. Clare
i’ve read once the baby is crawling and putting everything in his/her mouth then you can stop sterilising and also give tap water. i’m not sure though as i’ve also read wait until baby is a year old. why don’t you ask your health visitor? i give my son tap water sometimes, but generally boiled cooled water. he’s 11 months and i’ve been doing this since he was 8 months
Sure, why not?
Where I live, we get bottled water delivered, so my kids always drink that. When I visited my family, they all drank well water, even the baby! You can only be so careful with kids…and too careful tends to weaken their immune system.
yes i think so
To be on the safe side ask your pediatrician, I always thought it was ok to give infants tap/filtered water till I learned that there is fluoride in the water, I was informed children under the age 2 shouldn’t consume fluoride..
I started giving my guy brita water when he was 7 months and he’s fine. So yes.
I sometimes give my baby filtered water. I think it’s ok as long as it’s not tap. Heck adults don’t even drink straight from the tap.
i think its safer if you boil it. lots of gastrointestinal problems in baby are caused by drinking not so clean water.
why don’t you give him tap water? it will help strengthen his immune system. If he gets sick, thats good because he will build up a tolerance for whatever made him sick. Next time whatever made him sick won’t hurt him. I gave my daughter tap water and she’s 3 now and hardly ever gets sick!
Yes
