Can I use something other than spring water for my triops?
I have some triop eggs that I want to hatch. Well I read that you need spring or bottled water to put them in. I don’t have any but I really want to hatch them to show to my friend. Can I hatche them in anything else safely?

If you can’t get distilled or spring water, your next best choice is rainwater. You could try dechlorinated tap water as a last resort, but the chances of them hatching is much lower this way. Triops eggs use the "purity" of the water as a trigger to hatch. That’s why you’ll have a better chance with distilled and spring water, which are very low in minerals and dissolved solids, then you would with tap water.
To be honest, tap water should be fine as long as you add the dechlorinator thing. I tried it myself.
i only got mine to hatch with spring water
