I have a GE side by side door refridgerator with a water/ice dispenser. Can I add water instead of connecting it to a water hose? I live in an apartment and well it didn’t come with a water connection behind the fridge and I don’t want to do any plumbing because it is an apartment. My question is, can I add water somewhere for it to dispense water and ice? And if so, where can I add water and how much?
I have already tried changing the filter, and the PSI is good. It takes a minute to fill just 6oz of water. Is there any way to speed that up? The ice maker works fine from the same line.
My GE smartwater dispenses warm water, when it should be cold. I’m wondering what the cause of this could be, and if it’s even worth getting repaired, or if I should just consider getting a new one.
I don’t find the taste right. Do I use a bleach and water mixture and then rinse several times?
My Frigidaire side by side is continuously dripping from the water dispenser. It’s like one drop every 5 minutes. After searching and asking about this, I replaced the dual valve, but it did not help. There looks to be a single valve back there too, is that the problem maybe? What do all these valves do? The problem first started after I replaced the water filter, so it could be something else altogether too.
It makes ice, and i can here the water cycling through the system, yet When i go to get water, nothing comes out. I live in San Antonio, and we recently had cold weather. Not freezing, but cold.
When I push a cup or glass against the sensor it doesn’t work. I have to set the cup down and press it with my finger for water to dispense. I just purchased this appliance. Any suggestions before I call for service?
This doesn’t happen all the time but if it does and I open the fridge door then the noise stops and the flow of water becomes constant rather than jerky and interrupted. Anyone got any ideas whats wrong?
I want a mini water dispencer in my room trouble is i hate water, just wondering if you can fill it up with naything else like lemonade or coke, and if it keeps it cool
the water lone has never been run and this dispenser has never been used.
If its intended to be fed by my plumbing lines which are under pressure, does that mean the kool-aid source needs to be under pressure?
I can hear a water pump pump activate when i press the lever, so i hope my concern isn’t problem.
If the water does need to be under presssure, does this mean the fridge has an internal reservoir?
Ive put a whole 30 seconds thought in to this, lets get it done..
water "line"
not lone
My dog has been raised to drink out of a bowl, but it is making a mess. I have a water dispencer that is one like a gunia pig might have (where you must push a center rod to make the water come out) but she dosent get the concept. Can you help me?
My daughter is almost 10. She has had very bad breath for several years now. No amount of brushing has ever helped it. No Dentist ever mentioned it, but then again I never had mentioned it to one of them. I always attributed it to her caps she had put on her molars at a young age from early tooth decay (we at one time lived in the country & had un-floridated well water) She had floride treatments at every dentist visit when we lived there. Now though her capped molars are falling out & she has lost almost all of her "baby" teeth. Yet the bad breath is still there & is getting worse. She hasn’t seen a dentist in 2 years due to money issues at home (my husband makes too much money for gov assistance, yet not enough for us to be able to pay our co-pays…) I insist that she needs to see a dentist, or maybe even a DOCTOR for this problem. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could possibly be, so I might be more convincing in my arguement?
Please dont say infections..It isnt infection
btw, she flosses every day, & brushes at LEAST 2x a day. Doesnt eat much sweets & has a very balanced diet.
Is it possible to use the ice and water dispenser without connecting to the mains water supply i.e. fill the water dispenser from a bottle? if so where do i pour the water as i can see two possible locations an ice tray which is fixed or a removable tray encompassing the ice tray?
Will I get this from giving up floridated water?
