I have an outdoor faucet to connect the hose to for summer watering. I loose a lot of water through the joint. Though i made sure that the connection/threading is really tight i still loose a lot of water. Can someone suggest how to fix this leak. Is there a washer or tape needed for the faucet-hose joint. I have similar problem with my front yard outdoor faucet-hose joint.

We have horrible lime and calcium build up - very hard water. We want an entire water softner/filtration system.
Bottled water or attachments for the sink is not what I am talking about, it needs to be for laundry, showers, drinking, cooking, etc.
Please help!

I’ve been researching the web to find the best Water Pitcher Filter — which one removes the most contaminents. Unfortunately, I can’t locate any good comparison-reviews. All I know is that Brita ranks lower in tests when compared to the Pur brand . . . but how does Pur compare to all the others on the market?
If you have an answer (and perhaps a webpage showing the data) I would really appreciate it! Thanks for your help!

Instead of letting the water sit out, can I just add a few drops of that water conditioner that is for aquariums, to remove the chlorine? Or is that bad for house plants?

Water softener has not be softening water lately. I fill up the salt tank but it uses it up pretty fast. However water test shows hard water off the chart. I disconnected the water softener and opened up the tank. There was very little amount of resign in the tank. Maybe like 2 inches. I couldn’t find anything broke on the plastic dip tube. Does the resin disintegrate after a while with really really hard water? Or is something broke?

I am replacing my old water softener with salt in it. Shall I put the salt in a garbage bag or flush it in the kitchen sink?

I have heard a lot about how water softeners may help eczema and dry skin conditions. I was just curious if anyone has used a water softener, and if it helped with dry skin, hives, and/or eczema.
Thanks

My nephew received a cabbage plant sapling from his teacher yesterda. The plant is of the O.S. Cross variety. It’s a gigantic cabbage that can grow anywhere between 40-50 pounds, maybe even heavier than that. The instructions said the plant has to be fertilized and watered weekly. Please tell me how much water should I give the sapling. Any recommendation is needed.

I bought a sink attaching Pur Water Filter and when I got back to my college dorm I realized none of the included attachments fit my dorm sink. Is there anything I can do? Like a place I can order a special attachment that fits that particular sink? Any thoughts are welcome! Thanks =D

I have had both of my parakeets for about 5 years and I have had the same food and water dish for that long. )I can not currently afford new water dishes at the moment but I will be buying some soon.) But in the water dish it has a dark brown stain in the corners all the way across. I give my birds fresh food and water everyday, maybe bird food 2 or 3 days a week depending on how much they eat and water everyday that I can. Would you know any tips on how to clean them and disinfect them?
