Dasani bottled water fish tank?
Hello all. I own a fresh water aquarium with a little goldfish in it. I need to replace the water because it is fairly dirty. However, I left tap water out before I emptied the tank, much to my dismay, the cleaning lady threw out the water thinking it was uninportant. I need to re-fill the aquarium, but only have Dasani bottled water on hand. Can I use that? If not, what can I use? I cannot go out to purchase anything.
Thank you so much in advance =)
Thank you all for your help. I did use Dasani and my fish is swimming around happily, apparently with no problem, so that’s good. no signs of dying or having a disease.

NO!
Dasani water is Tap Water that has been run thru Reverse Osmosis then has minerals added back for Human taste, not the minerals necessary for proper osmoregulation in fish.
This is important to note, you can remineralize this with the necessary minerals that fish need such as calcium by using mineral blocks such as Wonder Shells.
If not this can cause health problems for you fish as the fish would not be able to carry on normal body functions

I wouldn’t recommend using bottled water at all, tap water should be just fine if you let it get to room temp first, you could also add some of the water that your fish is currently in and it should be just fine.
Actually Bottled water is is fine to use. I’ve research about using bottled water and people say it is fine to use. So use your bottled water.
Put out another container of tap water and wait till tomorrow. If you need the water right now and don’t have dechlorinating stuff, you can use the Dasani (if not carbonated), but make sure you let it get to tank water temp first.
You can use it, but this is the equivalent of pouring diamonds or gold into the tank. I’m just a little confused by this all however, as I have to wonder how much Dasani water you must have to successfully accomplish a proper water change in a proper sized tank. For one goldfish in a 10 gallon tank (which is the minimum one goldfish should be in) with even a 25% water change, this is 2.5 gallons of Dasani water you would need to pour in your tank. That’s a lot of Dasani…..
