Frigidaire water dispenser is not suppose to be cold?

My side by side refrigerator has never dispensed cold water, always room temperature. I called Frigidaire today and they told me that their water dispensers do not cool the water. It just doesn’t me sense to me that a fridge would dispense room temperature water. Does anyone have a Frigidaire that dispenses cold water?

Does it have an ice maker?
Thats what cools the water. I know it doesn’t make sense but they want you to cool your water with ice. It causes too many problems trying to run the water through the refridgerator evaporator coil. That will ruin the compressor and kill everything. And it would cost way too much more to add another cooling system just for the water.
My Whirlpool is the same way, water warm but that’s what the ice dispenser is for.
if your refrigerator is suppose to have cold water there should be a coil loop behind the crisper drawers that the water goes thru before going to the dispenser, even with this if you don’t use your water often the first glass or two will be room temp due to the hose from the coil to the door dispenser
