CLR, LIME AWAY OR VINEGAR
The best way to remove hard water stains from a water dispenser is with a safe, non-toxic solution. White vinegar has been tried and tested and proven to work for this, see below for a step-by-step method:
Natural Formula to Use:
Pure white vinegar
Method to Use:
1.Fill a clean spray bottle with pure vinegar
2.Spray the vinegar freely over the water dispenser and wait for a few minutes
3.If stains are stubborn spray more vinegar and wait a while longer
4.Scrub lightly with a soft sponge or cloth and rinse
Tip:
Sometimes stains are extra stubborn – for this make a paste of white vinegar and baking soda and scrub gently with a soft brush or sponge. Never use an abrasive cleaner like scouring pads, powders or steel wool as this will scratch the surface.
try some clr…that seems to work great..
I use white vinegar, straight. I also have a black fridge and it works great.
A quick soak in CLR or vinegar will do the job regardless of the color of your refridgerator.
Undiluted white vinegar–Hard water stains are the residue from minerals such as calcium. The acidic pH of vinegar neutralizes the alkalinity of these minerals, thus dissolving the stains.
