How can I unscrew the water filter from the faucet?
I have been apartment-sitting for a friend, and they have really bad water here so I bought a PUR water filter for the kitchen faucet.
I installed it, and it works great, but my friend will be back soon and I wanted to get it off of the faucet before they return so I can use it in my own apartment…but it is stuck.
What can I use to loosen it up so it can be easily unscrewed? I don’t want to twist it too hard for fear of the faucet breaking.
Thanks!

you have water deposits build up on the threads of the faucet, use a little vinegar to dissolve this build up then use a rag around the faucet and a pair of pliers to loosen it.remember lefty loosey, righty tighty, hope this helps.
Have you thought of leaving it as a welcome back present?
Seriously, you will need 4 hands for this so find a friend.
Wrap the filter nut you want to remove with a few layers of masking tape so you won’t damage it. With one person holding the faucet arm so it will not move grab the nut on the purifier with a pair of pliers and twist it off the faucet.
When you put the filter on your own faucet, put a wrap of teflon tape on the threads so they don’t seize up and cause the same problem.
u grab the actual back part and unscrew it the thing that basically is the filter
