Since you have &quot;awesome pressure&quot; at each stem (bypassing the mixing valve--the 3/4&quot; pipe probably helped here) then it must be the mixing valve (where the hot and cold water meet--controlled by the knob when functioning properly).</description>

		<description>Well, since you say you have &quot;awesome pressure&quot; at both the hot and cold stems in the shower, the problem would have to be right there in the shower and not with the water heater or piping. 
Having no difference between hot and cold would indicate a problem with the mixing valve.</description>
