I have a GE side by side door refridgerator with a water/ice dispenser. Can I add water instead of connecting?

No. It needs to be hooked up to your plumbing. The ice maker is set up on a timer and requires water under pressure to refill the ice tray. If the fridge is close to your sink, it’s easy to hook up the ice maker. Check with your landlord first, but you can buy a kit just for hooking it up. It has a saddle valve that is used to hook up to the water pipe below your sink, and all that’s left is to run the 3/8" plastic line to the back of the fridge. You can drill the holes Thu the back of the cabinets to run the line. Providing the fridge is in line with the cabinets. If the fridge is on one side of the kitchen, and the sink is on the other, you will have to run the line under the floor/ basement. providing your on a first floor.
Main water pressure is vry low How can I install a small pump to supply water under pressure to a refrigerator ??
