I'm trying to figure out what is good water and what is bad water.?
I bought a meter to check how much bad stuff is in the water I drink from my tap. The number it goes up to tells me there are 240 things in my water. Then I decided to buy bottled water at the store. I figured it would be better. But no, there is around 230 things in that water. I’m told to drink lots of water, so what water do I drink? I even tried the water you put in the refridgerator which is called Britta Pur water and that has around 235 things in it. Do you know what the best water is and what it is called? I even tried simply best water filter. That takes everything out of the water good and bad stuff. I heard that wasn’t good. Do you have any idea what water I should drink, if I must drink lots of water each day.

Depending on where you live (also assuming you are in the United States) your tap water is probably fine. I don’t know what this meter is that you are using but it sounds like it is basically worthless. Most municipal water systems are ok. They have to test the water to make sure it is good. If you live in an old house with lead pipes you may be getting too much lead in your water. If you have your own well you could be picking up other contaminants.
Tap water (:
It’s that simple.
Water can’t be perfect!
Didn’t you see the news show Dateline? Most bottled water is tap water from the city it is bottled in. All you are buying is some other city’s water instead of your city’s water. A very few are actually distilled or come from a city with pure spring water.
The meter you bought was designed to scare you and make you want to buy the meter manufacturers water purification system, even if you don’t need it.
To find out what is in your water, call your local water dept. They are required by federal law to test the water for impurities, mineral and chemical content. The results are public information, so give them a call.
most bottled water has minerals for flavor/nutrients
tap water alot of the time has an excess of minerals and or chlorine
depends on your city
I live in a small village in the Northeast of Thailand. I have tanks which collect about 5000 litres of rainwater during rainy season. I have been drinking this for 3 years now and my Thai wife and her family have drunk it all their lives as do the rest of the villagers. None of us have suffered any ailments from it. People in the West worry too much about trivia.
