Is pasteurized spring water an okay substitute for dechlorinated water?
I’m doing a science project on the plant elodea, and it says to put the elodea in dechlorinated water.

Pasteurization doesn’t remove ions (e.g. chlorine) from water. De-ionization usually requires some type of filter.
I am not sure what you are doing. If you need dechlorinated water you can put normal tap water in a bowl and leave it overnight the chlorine will evaporate out. The spring water should be fine also check the bottle to ensure chlorine is not listed. Also check to see if you are suppose to be using deionized water, it is completly different.
Sure. So long as nobody chlorinated the spring water. You could also use rain water, stream water, pond water ….
