Of course you may use the filtered water for your cat.
It’s a great change. You don’t have to use bottle water if you have a filter affixed to your tap. Some bottled water labeled as mineral water should never be given to your cat due to a higher mineral content. If you must use bottle water, make sure it is spring water or filtered water.
To those who feel that tap water is fine, I have a great reading material here if anyone is interested:-

My cats drink tap water and they are fine with it, as long as you change it daily so they have clean cold water to drink.
the filtered water is fine for your kitty.
does it really matter water is water as long as he doesnt dehydrate he is fine rite??
doesnt matter, i have well water and i give that to my cats, any water is fine out of a sink! they drink out of rivers and puddles if they are outside so im 100% sure anything is fine for your cat
In "The Nature of Animal Healing" Martin Goldstein, DVM states that it you make no other changes in your pet’s life using filtered water is a major consideration.
It’s true that cats and dogs drink "unclean" water from puddles, ponds, etc. I think it’s important that the chlorine be filtered out.
I use a Brita water pitcher.
either. Cats in the wild dont’ carry around bottles of water.
Tap water is fine. Cats in the wild will drink from anything.
I used to put tap water out for the cat, but she preferred to drink it out of the pond.
Don’t worry.
