Do they make water softeners that you can use in an apartment?
& If they do, where would it hook in to the water? at the water heater? If anyone knows, I would appreciate it!

I’m going to be moving in a month & will need to get a water softener (or something like it) because area uses well water & it has hard water. I’ve heard that it is not good to drink the water after it’s been through a water softener. Is this true? And what would be alternatives to a water softener? I was wondering about Eco Water? Thanks!!
I got a goldfish from a carnival & it’s already in it’s tank, but I’m just wondering if filling it’s tank with the water from a Poland Spring water bottle is OK. I know I need to take out just 1/4 of the water every week. But is it OK to fill that missing 1/4 of the tank water with Poland Spring water?
Also, I have googled about it since yesterday (I try to find the answer myself before asking of course), but have found no sufficient answer, so that’s why I’m here, asking this.
Is distilled water hypotonic or hypertonic? I am having a problem understanding osmosis for my a&p class. Thanks.
Dasani water bottle is the the new redesigned plastic & Vodka is 40 PERCENT alc. If yes how long can you store? And can you store in the fridge?

My roommate & attempted an all grain IPA yesterday & got a lousy mash efficiency. We used water from the shower filter I recently purchased.
Is it ok to re-use the mineral water plastic bottles or is that plastic meant for use & throw type usage only?
I mean for my own use… no commecial or dubious intentions! My water consumption is too much to afford a new bottle every time. So I tend to re-use bottles for a month or so… someone at the office told me that it is not safe because these bottles are made of plastic that should be disposed after single use. Hence the question.
My kitchen sink currently has a hot & a cold knob, and a spout…pretty old fashioned. I want to go and get an up to date faucet with a single lever valve and a detachable spout to rinse dishes, etc. but have never installed one before. What do I do?
people have told me that drinking tons of water & eating fruits and vegetables everyday will make you loose weight, i drink like 4 or 5 bottles of water a day and i never loose weight.
already checked & cleaned the aerator and screen & removed a bunch of tiny white spheres (calcium?). The lower part of the faucet appears to have a gaping hole in the front where the cylindrical part attaches to the horizontal platform which attaches the entire mechanism to the sink.
We have an old one we want to replace & I’m just wondering if it’s something people do themselves or if you call a plumber… We already bought the new faucet.
I know that cats are nocturnal and they only get up there at night. They know they are not supossed to be up there because as soon as someone, anyone, walks into the kitchen, they jump down and scatter like cockroaches. All 5 of them are neutered males who are inside cats but do have limited access to the deck. Their ages range from 4 to 8 years and they weigh between 15 & 25 pounds. Yes, even the 25 pounder can jump up on the counter. I have caught him on top of the washing machine too!
Help me! All of the cat hair on my stove top and dining table is driving me crazy!
i hope i can fix it & that i didn’t damage anything.
First time user. I have bugs in crawl space. I would like to try a Bug Bomb because I think it would be more effective than crawling around on my back spraying around the inside of the foundation. How do I do it? What do I do about the furnace & culligan water softner? My drinking water is treated by the unit. What about the house? How much chemical will leak up? Will have to clean the house? What about the kitchen? For the inside of the house I will spray in the windows and around the base boards. Thanks.
