They’re kinda small so I’d guess theyre maybe a few months old, I want to put them in a tank, but my mom wont let me since she thinks theyre gunna die, but im gunna get a tank anyway. Any suggestions on the size of the tank and also the brand of filters, heat lamp, UV light, water heater etc. Am i also missing anything that i might need for the turtle aquarium?

a) Would anyone recommend me to buy the turtle from a supermarket? They sell a pretty cheap turtle right there, but the only concern from me is that these baby turtles are kinda stacked with each other and I don’t know about their health conditions. Like 20 of them are kept in the same aquarium, almost no water (the staff said that it’s because the strong AC they couldn’t keep too much water, perhaps due to low water temperature? – Make sense? Yes and no.), and yes, they stacked with each other (I’m thinking they do that because they’re trying to be warm?).
b) What are the basic tools to keep a turtle? I am thinking of buying only a couple of turtles that I will put in a small aquarium. Other than aquarium, what else – do I OUGHT TO use water filter, UV rays (would lamp table do it?)?
Thanks for the help!

I am getting an aquarium as my hamster’s cage, but I’m not sure how to attach the water bottle…
I’ve heard that you can attach suction cups to the water bottles, but where do I get suction cups, and to attach them to the water bottle, do I use glue or something? How do I attach it? Help?
Thank you soooo much to everyone that answers! It really helps!
By the way, can you please attach links? Thanks!

-My aquarium is around 40 cm x 40 cm (square shape) and has a height of around 20cm
-I have a water filter
-I dont need a heater because I have a thermometer and it shows me the water degree which is usually around 27-28 C
- My RES is around 8-9 months old and is about 9-10cm
- I feed him veggies, dry shrimps etc.
I want to know what kind of UV lighting is required for my RES. The Walt, type etc.
Thanks in advance
P.S. Advice and suggestions are highly appreciated. I dont wanna buy something off ebay without knowing for sure what I need is right.
I went to that website you gave me there buddy but I couldnt find anything related to turtles. Give me the full link about RES if you know of any. Thanks
compact uv bulb, but what about the walt? i dont want to burn my RES by getting something too strong for him.

I came accross this filter.

It looks cost effective but im wondering how long the potscrubbers would hold up after long use. (This would be for a saltwater tank so im thinking the potscrubbers dont stand a chance) If I have to replace them 3 or 4 times a year bioballs would quickly be the more cost effective.
Im not dead set on this setup so im looking for some home depot ideas that can be completly different from the posted setup. I have a few homedeopt giftcards that need spending.
If you know of a way to condence a wet/dry into a 10g tank that would be great. (for size concerns)
Anyway I need some sort of quiet pump to get that water back into the aquarium. This will be a bedroom setup so quiet is the key. Also would need to be able to hook up to manufactured tubing or pvc. (dont want a flood and I want the hookups to be purchased not made, cept for the pvc clearly you can seal that yourself)
Yes I was pretty certain potscrubbers were not the way to go. As far as glass or acrilic cutting I would feel more comfortable with plastics.
Im terrible at glass cutting and plastic can be more forgiving.

I need to get pure distilled water for a sort of lava aquarium lamp. I was wondering how to get this water without having to buy bottled water.

I am currently using a aquatech 30-60 and I notice that my aquarium seems more clean when I don’t use those blue cartridges, when I do use them my filter gets clogged and water gets backed up, I am trying to setup a biological filtration system. P.S. I still have those black bio-fiber stuff in them though

I have a tetra whisper filter 10 gallon in my aquarium, and it seems to overfill and then eventually vaporize the water level somehow. I’ve been monitoring it, and cleaning out the filter cartridge over and over and it seems the filter consistently causes water loss.
@ball thanks. Well it is a tropical tank so i’m worried that the water temp might reach below 72 degrees and it’s pretty hot consistently where I live (southern california)

The instructions leaflet for the aquarium set-up advise me to ‘filter’ my sand before I place it in the tank. I googled on how to do this but it just came up with filters that I could buy. But I already have a filter, so does it mean to just leave the filter running on the sand for a few days beforehand or what? Help, please!

I’ve had the 55 gallon tank for three months now and have tested it normally and now the readings say that my ph is high and my total alkalinity is high as well. How do i lower the sudden spike, should i do a water change or just add water to the aquarium like i usually do? I live in the city as i know that could be a reason why the water is high, ph wise.

I want to use my tap water for my aquarium. I know that I have to let it sit for 24 hours before putting it in. Is there anything else I could buy to remove any unwanted chemicals from the tap water? Should I use a dechlorinater before use?
Let me know what I need before I use the tap.

I see a Aquarium Pharmaceutical (brand) Water Softner Pillow for 5 bucks and wonder how do you recharge it?
it says that you can recharge it. It uses this sodium thingy?
