Hi guys, just wanted to konw why tap water conducts electricity, while distilled water does not conduct any electricity. It has something to do with bonds, like ionic, covalent (polar/non-polar). Any ideas? Thank you

I recently did a lab and I was wondering, why does the addition of salt to distilled water increase the temperature?
So breaking bonds requires energy. So when the salts get dissolved they should make the water turn colder, right?
Is it because breaking bonds is only part of it? Do they also bond to water? Do they add on hydrates? Or is it the bonds that they form with water that adds energy?
WHAT IS IT AHHH??????
Thanks.
