we have been using bottled water because someone said well water with softener would kill the plants, the cost is getting to much for bottled water,so I need to hear from someone who would really KNOW,not just guessing. there are just too many plants to risk losing.

Do water filters, like Brita and Pur filter water enough to use to prepare formula, or would boiling/ bottled water still be needed?

Okay, so I bought a Pur water filter pitcher so that I would stop buying so much bottled water, with the intention to be more environmentally friendly.
The time just came to replace the cartridge for the first time. What do I with the old cartridge? Can it be recycled at all? I don’t like thorwing things in the trash if I don’t have to.

About half of the time I drink Bottled water it has a plastic flavor to it. I’ve tried different brands (poland spring, etc)
I’m sure they dont leavee the factory tasting like plastic. Somewhere along the delivery route they must sit out in the hot sun or something. Sometimes they taste clean and pure, but sometimes the same brand will taste like plastic.

anytime I drink more than 24 oz of the stuff i feel like passing out. Didn’t they have some scare in Britain??
LONDON, March 19 - Only weeks after it introduced Dasani bottled water into Britain, the Coca-Cola Company ordered a recall of some 500,000 bottles on Friday after finding excess levels of bromate. The chemical, with long-term exposure, has been linked to a higher risk of cancer.

Other bottled water claims to be spring water but does that necessarily mean its CLEAN or PURIFIED water?

I’ve heard that some bottled waters have a lot of added chemicals, and if you ask me Dasani has a really weird taste. Unfortunately, I go to a school supported by Coca Cola, so guess what kind of bottled water is the only kind sold on campus!? I was just wondering if anyone new about this and other bottled waters, really.

PBS had a special report on bottled water which said Coca Cola is outsourcing it’s water product. Is this true?

Spring water flows from the ground like 24/7 and so does an artesian well.
So I’m confused about why it’s different.
Are they both healthier to drink than regular filtered water? Or bottled water?

I have goldfish and I need to use bottled water to fill the tank because I have unacceptable well water. My dad tried to chemically treat it, but we don’t use it to brush our teeth or cook! We just use bottled water at my house for everything.

I’ve been hearing a lot about most bottled water just being extra filtered tap water. I would like to drink real, fresh water that isn’t just plain old tap water. I’m wondering which brands are best like Dasani (Coca-Cola), Aquafina (Pepsi), Evian, Ice Mountain, etc…??? I would assume that the ones that are bottled in major soft drink factories are just tap water, right?

I’ve read on Yahoo Answers that food odors or the filter might be involved. I will look into that. But I read on one of the answers that the water dispenser might be the cause. See, the thing is we dont use the chilled water dispenser…we have bottled water delivered. I’d says its been used once or twice the past couple of years.
