I’m looking into getting one as a gift for my boyfriend. I know Brita filters are really good (my gmom uses them) I’m just really concerned about size. I know they come mostly in 6, 8, and 10 glass sizes for holding water. What size is best?
Hello. I’ve read up about using Brita filters to filter vodka to make it smoother. I also heard that it ruins the filter if you want to use it again for water. However, I would like to know if you can still use it for vodka again in the future. Please only answer if you have done it yourself or know.
What kind should I get? If not cost prohibitive I’d like it attached such that the water throughout my entire home is clean. If that’s too expensive, just the kitchen sink.
I have experimentally tested Pur and Brita filters, and whilst they do remove nearly all sodium and sediments, therefor making it taste significantly better, they remove very little heavy metals which may be toxic and carcinogenic.

I found that Brita Filter replacement cartridges and similar products are extremely expensive. Not mention if you have to pay for the water+sewage as well in your monthly utility bill.
1. Is it good for pregnant woman to drink water filtered by brita instead of buying bottled/distilled water?
2. Is brita filter cartridge contains only activated carbon, what are the white/cream particles inside?
3. Is it easy to regenerate just by boiling it, or you have to reactivate the carbon by baking or burning it?
4. Can you replace the carbon with regular activated carbon (with the same particle size)?

i heard that brita filters can leak dangerous chemicals into water. does anybody have any more info on that subject?
Does anyone know if a brita water filter ment to replace Kenmore part number 9010 will fit and function as Kenmore part number 9030? The brita filters are MUCH cheaper, but I want to know that it will work before I buy it.
I know that those brita filters can filter out impurities in cheap booze and make them taste alot better. I was wondering if it could filter out the alcohol in mouthwash?

I want the alcohol seperated from everything else in the mouthwash. So I want everything else filtered out.
I have a Brita filter, and I just finished using my first removable cartridge that you place in the filter. But what do you do with the used Brita filters? It feels weird to put it in the trash and create more waste when I initially bought the Brita filter to minimize my plastic bottle usage and be more environment-friendly.

Than plastic bottles when you can recycle the plastic bottles but have to toss the Brita filters in the garbage?
