When i vacuum the pool the dirty water just shootd right back out with one swipe of the vacuum. Just replaced the cartridge filter hoping that was the answer and it wasnt. Im using a dedicated line to run it and get great suction but not so much through the skimmer. I’m outta ideas

Our new place has well water and unfortunately a sulfurous smell. I don’t know much about well water, but the water softener is relatively new. Is there anything we can do to make it more like "normal" water?
Any idea how much an activated carbon cartridge filter will cost and how much to have it installed? Ballpark figures of course.

Our water smells of sulfur really bad. We have a cartridge filter that has to replaced every two weeks, that’s how quick the smell comes back! The smell is in the hot and cold water. Oddly enough the water that comes from the hose outside smells and taste fine? Any ideas?

I have a Dirt Devil, Cantar pool pump and cartridge filter. The id# on the filter is CFR75DD. I basically have no clue how to clean it. Last season I ended up losing a lot of water trying to get the filter out to clean it. I know there has to be a way to clean the filter without losing 25% of the water to the pool. I did have it unplugged and shut off. I am really at a loss.

I’ve just installed a new cartridge filter. It is the System 3 Mod Media Filter. I read in the manual that during the initial start up phase, I must wait for a steady stream of water to come out of the air release valve before closing it. However, I am not getting any water out of this valve. I can see that the pump is primed and water is released back into the pool. What could be problem for this not to happen as stated in the manual?

I have a larger Britta water purifyer tank (holds about 2 gallons) – just recently I noticed a green tinge to the water color and looked inside – there is some green colored aglae growing on the insides of the tank down where the filtered water is. Has anyone had this happen? What would cause this and is it dangerous if we drank some of that water, What could happen to us health wise? We kept the tank in the Frig and change the cartridge filter on a regular basis. I am wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen. I was really shocked, I always had good luck with Britta in the past. Could it be the quality of the tap water we are putting into the filter having bacteria in it? The water is ground water from a well. Thanks for any advice on this situation.

I need to pre-filter water from river before it gets to sediment cartridge filter. I am thinking it will work but am concerned algae nay be a problem and clog backwash sand filter prematurely. Anyone had experience with this? Cartridge filter clogs in about a week so is an expensive problem. Any alternative way of doing this?
Apparently the algae would be a problem in a pool type backwash filter. It would propagate in a warm vessel. Also backwash (with the same supply of water) would only add to the problem. Any other ideas?

I need to test a pool cartridge filter and pump, but it is not hooked up to a pool. Will running it dry damage the filter or pump? Thx

We have an expensive refrigerator water filter that needs replacing all the time, has anyone bypassed the factory filter and installed a basic cartridge filter in the water supply line?
