Do normal Britta filters take the chlorine out of tap water?
I need to give water to my tadpoles and even a small amount of chlorine can kill them so I want to know.

Does anyone know what kind (and where I can buy) a water filter that removes bpa and chlorine and that isn’t plastic? Also, are there any filters that can get rid of the drugs that seem to be in our water supply as well? It seems as though there isn’t any water that’s safe to drink anymore…
Thanks!

Hi
I got a beardie over the weekend and have been giving him water that I let sit out for 24 hours so there’s no chlorine. Do I have to do this, or is it o.k for him to drink and take a bath in regular water straight from the tap?
I was going to use Brita but I don’t see chlorine listed in what it filters out.
I appreciate there are many domestic water filters being used in houses throughout the World, BUT is there any one particular water filter that actually REMOVES all bacteria ? The asnwer I have got back from Australia, says NO, but I believe there is one filter in Australia with a Government stamp of approval, and a Scientific document which proves this particular water filter DOES removal ALL Bacteria. Can you give me your answer to my question= is there any water filter that removes all bacteria ? As I understand, all water filters require chlorine after installation except this particular water filter I am talking about..
I have a knew 50 gal tank and I’m gona transfer My community fish to it. I’ve heard alot about those water cleansers that remove all the elliments from your tap water. The store told me to not even bother its just a fresh water tank and it would only be worth it for salt water. but a friend whos has some good experience with his three tanks says it would be better for the fish and easier for me. I really don’t want to spend the money but if its better in the long run for the fish and truely easier for me I’ll consider it. Whats your guys opion?
Yes I’m asking about the filters that remove chlorine, Choramine and other unwanted stuff. I have water conditioners and try to take the needed steps to take care of the water. I.m just asking about those filters that you hook up to your tap and run the water through before you put the tank.
Water filters allow minerals with higher solubility eg calcium, Magnesium and fluoride to pass through but not mercury, lead, chlorine etc. Where can I get the solubility table ;of minerals so I know which can pass through and which can’t
Also, how does the activated corbon filter do the job?
How small are the viruses and can they be filtered by water treatment systems?
I’m on a mission to find a drinking water filter (pitcher or portable preferably) one that filters out chlorine (NOT just the taste like the crappy rip-offs like Brita and Pur) one that filters out metals. . . Thanks!
Why do they make water filters like Brita that remove chlorine but not fluorine, it’s only one element away on the periodic table!
Is it so much to ask?
What about dechlorinating showerheads?
(my hot/cold water is brown/green from rust/copper patina)
I have a 10ft by 30 in pool, and i am not planning on replacing the water everyday. Do I need chlorine or chemicals to clean the pool if I have the filter that came with the pool?
I have a small aquatic turtle, (he looks like a RES, but without the red marks, not sure what he is.) about a 5 inch shell measurement.
Even keeping up with frequent water and filter cartridge changes, I’m still getting a large buildup of algae, mostly on the edges of his basking rock, and on the turtle’s shell.
I use filtered tap water, and the only chemicals I add are one to remove chlorine, and one to help with waste breakdown. My filter is a regular aquarium filter, rated for 60 gallons. (the tank is a 20 gallon long) I’ve read that the algae destroyers you would use in a regular aquarium could be harmful to turtles, so I’m hesitant to try that. I’ve put a few plants in the tank, but he tends to uproot them and eat them.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what I can do to slow the growth of algae in the tank?
My mom is looking for a good water filtration system, and I thought I would ask. Their water tastes like chlorine, and she wants to remove the taste. Also, she has cancer(Lymphoma), and is trying every natural thing she can to be healthy, and that includes staying away from chlorine. Can you help us?
