and how will the fluoride in wal-marts baby water help a 6 month old baby with his dental problems?
almost like…instead of trimming my nose hairs i’ll snort fire to get rid of them.
so sodium fluoride kills bacteria so what. why does it need to be injected into city water? or used to reconcentrate juices.
did the indians use fluoride for thier teeth?

Google-the fluoride deception.

How to remove well water taste?

It isn’t bad water or anything wrong with it. I just hate the taste of well water. I am use to city water. Anything we can do to make it taste more like bottled water or city water? I know that you can’t drink water after it comes from a softner, the salt isn’t good for you. But the well water flavor has to go. It is just nasty. And makes ice even taste funny.

I’ve done a fair amount of research into the chemicals dumped into municipal tap water. Did you know that fluoride is actually a harmful chemical? Yep. AND has not been conclusively proven to strengthen tooth enamel. But, all the water filtering jugs n such (ie Brita and Pur for a couple) say they remove ‘most chlorine, but leave the beneficial levels of fluoride’. I come from well-water upbringing, (best water on earth!!), but now have city water. My cat is licking her fur and chewing like her skin is bothering her… and this has started since I switched her from Reverse-Osmosis water from the ranch in CA to the city water here in SC. I’m poor (read BROKE), but I can afford a big jug of water if it’ll help her feel better. So… Distilled? or ‘purified drinking water. What’s your opinion?

My water softener broke drown. Its about 20 years old now and needs to be replaced. Are there any water systems on the market that produce clean drinkable water…like city water?

My area has really bad water, in some cases the city water even has shown asbestos. I get water delivered but am now learning that the #7 plastic it comes in is suspect. Also its expensive.

QUESTION: what counter-top water filter system is best for removing serious contaminates like pcbs and asbestos, lead, etc. Those pitcher-filters as I understand it only improve taste and 2-3 other contaminates, which is not enough for my needs.
On doing research there are 9383838 counter-top filter systems for sale but I am kind of lost trying to find out which one is BEST at REMOVING CONTAMINATES.
thanks.
cost isnt really an issue. i need water every day etc.
oh ya i rent i cant modify my kitchen or do giant setups

Please advise…I have purchased a home some time ago. The house is on well water and not city water. Because I did not have any strange "sulfuric" smells I did not install a water softener.

Someone has advised me that this is a bad idea that I should get one because calcium deposits will build up and destroy my pipes. Please advise me if this is true or not. Should I get a water softener…I will hate to pay a 25 dollar a month to the Culligan people. Do you have and ideas or alternatives.

My home has a well instead of city water. Whenever I ran a bath, brownish colored flecks come out of my faucet. After looking at the faucet, I noticed that the inside is covered in this redish-brown film. I am assuming that it is from the rust in the water, although I could be wrong. Can anybody tell me how to get rid of it?
Thanks!

About two years ago I started not being able to find toothpaste without flouride. I don’t want flouride in my toothpaste or my city water! Does anybody even know the long term effects of flouride yet?

How much flouride is in city water?

In let’s say L.A. And when you ingest the flouride in city water where do the chemicals go? Is the amount small enough to pass through the system? Or does is the body unable to get rid of it? And if so where does it store the flouride in the body? And if it stores the chemicals im assuming it accumilates? And if it accumilates i assume it will cause adverse reactions to your body?

Do I need a water softener?

I recently purchased a home that has a water softener (Culligan Mark 10 – about 10-15 years old). I have city water and haven’t experienced any water related problems – - yet. I haven’t used the softener yet, and want to know if I even need it? How do I test it? I want to prevent any of the issues that are created with hard water, but if I won’t have them anyway, I would rather not deal with it. Thanks for any help!
