I just moved into a condo. I have noticed these types of stains on my clothes (same on all of them). I’ve determined them to be water stains. They’re a greyish/whitish color, and the pattern is like a splash of water. So many of my clothes are being ruined. What can I do?
Just got a Kenmore Oasis HT washer. Already know about the lower water efficiency levels….Just tried using the SHEETS and Bulky/Bedding cycles and wonder if this is the setting with the highest water levels? Any suggestions? I bought this machine to do LARGE loads, but want to make sure clothes get clean with enough water. Pls don’t tell me to get a FRONT LOADER machine, because I have already heard horror stories about mold/mildew/smell. Help???!!!!

At first I thought it was the washer, but it seems to be the water heater. Why does the water heater leak water when I wash my clothes?
its really leaking, I have to clean it up with a towel.
We have city water, and the chemicals i swear are killing my hair. it makes it really straw like, no matter what kind or how much conditioner i use. I’ve tried everything, and even my clothes seem to be suffering. When you turn my water on, the first thing you smell is a chlorine-like smell

I just purchased a new double-wide mobile home, and my water is horrible. It’s full of iron and is turning everything orange. My clothes, my toilet bowls, bath-tub, and soon my hair! So I need a water softener bad. I just don’t know what kind I need. I need one that will work for my problems, but I don’t want to spend more money than I need to. What do I need to look for in a water softener? Can someone please help (preferably someone who has had experience with this…) Thanks so much!
I do not want to throw away water i used in washing (rinsing) clothes or the dishes. But I’m afraid my plants will die if I water them with water with traces of detergent. Is there a way of treating the used water at home without the expensive mechanical water treatments? I read activated carbon can remove some, but not all chemicals from water.

I trying to stop the water from running, I tried stopping it with clothes but nothing worked. so right now I have so the water will run into the ground under the house. will this make the water bill high, I really hope this doesn’t show up on the water bill. this isn’t the same as running water out the faucet is it?

Is it a large amount of liquid at once, or is it a slow trickle?
I am just wondering because I am currently doing clinical hours in a hospital an hour away from my ‘home’ hospital. I am packing a bag to change in case my water breaks or I go into labor at my clinical site.
I was wondering if my change of clothes would be enough or if I would need some towels to sit on for the drive to my delivery hospital.

My parents moved into a townhouse community a while ago, and when I’ve gone to visit, I’ve found they have a lot of water problems. Aside from the pressure being low, which is merely an inconvenience, the water tastes and smells dirty and very fishy. Cooking with it alters the taste of meals, and using one or two blocks of ice ruins a whole drink. Sometimes even the dishes and clothes have a slight odour after being washed. Occasionally I’ve turned on the tap to see the water coming out brown, enough that the sinks have to be scrubbed to remove residue. The townhouse community was only built about 5 years ago, and it all runs the local water supply.
I’ve installed water purification on the taps, but I’ve recently discovered that it’s possible to buy whole house filtration systems. I have no idea how to go about researching these. Does anyone have experience with them? How are they, cost-wise? Are they worth the investment? Do they require a lot of construction, maintenance, etc?
Any other opinions or advice about finding out why the water is so problematic, dealing with the problems, and/or water filtration would be appreciated.
i was soaking my white cargos (100% cotton i think) in water because i wanted to get the Spray n’ Wash out. (spilt coffee, washed the spot with spray n wash, wnated to get out the spray n wash afterward lik eyou’re supposed to without a washing machine.)
but is soaking stuff in water for a long time bad for the clothes? will the water.. like do something to them or something?!

I noticed at the laundrymat that the water does not appear at the bottom of the window, it only rises just below - presumably filling a basin below that the perforated washer chamber / cylnder spins thru. I know that they’ve had a problem with patrons putting in too much soap and causing an overflow. I’m wondering if they are reducing the water level in the washer to combat that problem (and cut down on their costs for water and hot water - very cheap place)?
I used the laundrymat today and my clothes seem to be clean and free of soap (the rinse cycle is the same "low water" situation); so maybe the washer is not designed to have water at the height of the door?
I went to a concert Sunday night and it was raining the whole time, my clothes were soaked and my friend, my boyfriend and I all had to get in the car with no towels or change of clothes. Now my friend’s new car seats are water-stained and have a musty smell. If anyone has tips on how to clean them without spending lots of money please share your answers. Thanks
when my wife and I wash clothes we have noticed lately our white clothes are a bit dingy.Although the water looks clear,the shower head and other faucets around the house get crudded over with calcium colored like red mud. Our home is built on red clay, whatis this simpliest soloution to the problem? I have home depot coming next week about a whole house purification filter, but i really don’t wanna put 3 grand into the solution.Any plumbers out there willing to share a tip? I live in Middle Ga too if any of you live around the area. Thank you
