I really dislike water, I don’t know if its just me being weird but I think it has a weird taste.
Yes I know most of you will be like water doesn’t have a taste but it does to me.
The problem is, I want to like it because I want to attempt to drink the recommended daily amount. At the moment all I do is drink soft drinks, with the odd drinks of milk.
I don’t want to add anything to the water, no flavorings or anything, I want it to be pure.
I think that ice cold water tastes a lot better than room temperature or warm. But I don’t like it enough to think, oh I’m thirsty I want to drink some water.
It’s pretty much ‘Oh I’m thirsty lets grab a can of coke’
I know the health benefits of water, and I want to be able to drink it because I want it. At the moment it’s me drinking it because I’m forcing myself to.
I was thinking maybe I could buy a water filter in attempt to make the water taste better.
What do you reckon?
What can I do to make it taste better and to get myself to actually want to drink it?

I’m 16 and I drink 4 pints of water a day and about 3 cups of tea a day…

I was just wondering; what are the benefits of drinking water rather than other drinks?

Also, am I drinking enough water? How much water should I roughly be drinking a day?

Additional Infomation: I’m 16, tall, skinny and toned so I think water is a good option rather than drinks like coke an lemonade etc…

Why is water more expensive than coke? I am trying to cut down on soda drinks and drink more responsibly, but am finding it very expensive (in Australia at least) to drink bottled water. Why is this so?

If I drink a cup of Dr. Pepper or Coke, and I drink the same amount of water or double the amount of water right behind it, am I flushing the harmful effects of acid out of my system or does drinking water after a soda pop not help at all??

i lost some density in some of my teeth do to all the sugar in coke. not a real killer situation but it would be nice to have my teeth in better shape. not that it looks bad or anything im just aiming towards better health. does mineral water help restore tooth denisty in teeth?

I’ve recently stopped drinking the unhealthy carbonated drinks, my favorites being Vault and Coke, and moved on to the healthier water. I’m 14 years old and I’ve noticed that people try to GET healthy by drinking water, so for the past 5 days it’s been nothing but Dasani for me in attempt to STAY healthy. I limit myself to four 16.9 FL OZ (1.006 PT) 500 mL bottles per day.

I also drink 1 can of tea on school days, since my school does’t provide us with bottled water.

Is this a bad or a good sign?

Apparently when Coke first started making Dasani water they would label it as "Pure" but as it turns out it was nothing but tap water put into a bottle. After that fiasco Coke started using "Reverse Osmosis" to purify their water and using minerals like bromine to give it a certain taste. However, during reverse osmosis bromine is oxidized to bromate which is a carcinogen. Tons of bottles were recalled because the water had over 2x the allowed level of bromate.

Now has anyone head anything about Coke getting its act together and putting out a safe drinking water?
