I’m using a water filter for drinking which consist of a four stage catridge: activated carbon, silica sand, zeolite and mineral sand. Lately, I notice very small particles sentiment at the bottom of the mineral pot where the filtered water is stored. I believe this is from the filter catridge as there are large pores where the particles may pass through. Does this render the water unsafe for consumption?

I attend a private university which recently instated a new policy which forbids the consumption of any beverage inside the classrooms or in the facilities. Now, the classes are 4 hours long, and if you step out of the classroom, your minutes are docked. If you miss a certain number of minutes from a class, you automatically fail the class. This policy is very strictly enforced. This new policy means that students and professors must sit in a building where they are not allowed to consume any kind of liquid, including water, for a four hour time period. Is it legal for an institution to forbid the drinking of water in regular classrooms, not just computer labs?

If there is a shortage of water, policies will have to be made as to whether water should be diverted to urban areas, agricultural areas, or natural ecosystems. Make an argument for diverting water for urban consumption and an argument for permitting the flow of water to natural areas.

I went to Europe recently and the markets there sold only mineral water. There were not waters free of any minerals like in the US with Aquafina, Arrowhead, etc. When I got back home I did some research and saw that some mineral waters contain unusual minerals that dont sound too good for you. Arsenic, iron, etc… Can daily consumption of only mineral water be good for a person?

We hear a lot about CO2 being added to the atmosphere via combustion of fossil fuels and the negative effects of that. What about the release of water via combustion. Does combustion vapor affect weather, climate change, ocean levels, etc.? In addition, we are releasing a great deal of water into the atmosphere by removing ground water for consumption and irrigation.
