alright i know that you are never supposed to mix your baby’s formula with well water. i’m going to my grandmothers with my daughter for a couple days so i’ve bought drinking water to mix her bottles with since all my grandma has is well, but is it going to hurt to wash her bottles in the well water?

I have been out of salt for a couple days and just added some today. I do not want to wait until 2am for the normal regenerate cycle. How do I do a quick manual one? Thanks
I should mention, it is not a digital one

I heard that if I put the city water / fountain water in a water container for couple days or a week, then I don’t need to use water conditioner. Is that true?

I found an Eastern Painted turtle the other day near my house. It is unusual because the underside is actually a pure orangish-redish color. I was planning on putting it in a 75 gallon tank with half land and half water with a water filter, heating lamp, and a couple of feeder fish. Is that enough? If you guys could help me that would be great because i’ve had for a couple days now and it needs to be put in a permanent home soon.

I am deciding whether to start a fresh water fish tank or a salt water fish tank. I have heard arguments on both sides on which tank is easier to keep. I know that salt water fish are a lot prettier than fresh water fish. Is there any nice fresh water fish that are colorful like salt water fish? I have a 40 gallon tank. Any suggestions?
On another topic… I had a beta fish that died after about 2 days of switching his water. I used half Brita filtered water and half bottled water. A couple days after he died I got 2 gold fish and they died very soon also. I cleaned and changed the water with the new gold fish but used the same combo of water. Is Brita water bad for fish?

I’ve got a bad habit of opening a bottle of water, drinking less than half and leaving it somewhere, then forgetting about it and opening a new one.
I understand after a couple days (especially if left uncapped) this is an all-inclusive party for bacteria growth.
Rather than throwing these half-consumed bottles of water, would an effective treatment be to run them through my PUR or Brita Water pitcher in the fridge?
