I am trying to get a list of types of filtering processes for a power point presentation. So far I only have two, Reverse Osmosis, and Distilled Water. I am not looking for particular brands of filtering, just WAYS of filtering water at home / office.

I get a lot of MIXED answers about this, some people prefer using distilled some people prefer using regular bottle drinking water,i personally use distilled because most pet store employees and people in general tell me i should use it,but what is really more halter for my betta distilled water or drinking water(not tap)bottled?
Which is more healthier and safer for my betta?Distilled water or purified drinking water (bottled)?

We just bought a fish tank (with fish!) off craigslist, but the water level is to low for the filter. I understand you’re suppose to let the water sit for 10 days, is this just to make it sedentary? Would adding distilled water work?

if you added plain old distilled water to a plant, would it grow more than if you gave a plant tap water?

I’m making some homemade wine and it calls for distilled water. All I have is tap well water. Do you think it’s okay?

I just bought a distilled water machine. After I use it, a lot of grime is left behind. (I think the fact that I have well water makes this worse for me than it is for most people). I can’t tell exactly what is being left behind, but most of it seems to be white in color.
That said, does anyone happen to know what type of cleaning solution I need to buy to get this stuff off? Regular soap and water simply hasn’t been working.

I was thinking of doing an experiment where i apply fluoride treated water to bacteria to see how it effects them (hoping it will kill the cells). I was wondering if distilled water could be used as a control, or would that kill the bacteria also? I was thinking of just applying a thin layer of water over cultured bacteria.
Any input greatly appreciated!
Thanks

We wish to recycle the water from our dehumidifier bucket, but wonder if the lack of minerals in the distilled water would make it useless for plants.

Basically, I’m wondering how the cell reacts. Does it shrink in distilled water, burst, swell? What?

I’m doing a chemistry lab and I forgot to take the initial temperature of the distilled water before heating it up
so I’ll just use the room temperature of it instead.
Please and thanks.
