So I have this really awesome reusable plastic water bottle, but if I ever leave anything in it(even if it’s just water), the bottle ends up smelling TERRIBLE. I try using dish soap to get rid of it, and that works for a few days, but then it comes back. I don’t know how to fix it and I don’t know what to do to permenantly get rid of it. Please help!

Why does my water taste like dirt?

I am 18 weeks pregnant, and for the last few days everytime I drink water it tastes like dirt. It doesn’t matter the source of the water, whether its tap water, bottled watter, or Brita filtered. I know this is really weird but I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Any explanations would be appretiated. Thanks.

I live in an older apartment complex and have noticed that my tap water has this unpleasant, sweet smell to it. I notice it particularly when I’ve been away…I don’t know if that’s because I’m used to it or because it’s something that builds up and smells stronger when the water isn’t run for a few days. I filter my water before I drink it with a Brita pitcher, but am still concerned about what might be in my water. Anyone have any suggestions?

How do I filter the sand for my aquarium?

The instructions leaflet for the aquarium set-up advise me to ‘filter’ my sand before I place it in the tank. I googled on how to do this but it just came up with filters that I could buy. But I already have a filter, so does it mean to just leave the filter running on the sand for a few days beforehand or what? Help, please! :)
Neeeeeddd heeeeeelp…………..

Can I add flouride tap water to my aquarium?

I hear you are suppose to cycle 15%-30% of your aquariums water, but can I add tap water? The water in my city (calgary) has fluoride in it. Will this poison the fish? Can I get drops, or do I just let the water sit for a few days before I put it in the tank?

There was a water main break near my building a few days ago (5/7). The pipe was repaired on the same day. I tried drinking my tap water that night and it tasted like it had dirt in it. Since then I have been drinking bottled water as a substitute. Can you tell me how long it will take until the tap water is drinkable again?
There was no boil advisory issued. I only took a few sips of the water and dumped it out of the bottle that I use to drink it.

Should I make "my move" or wait paitently?

I’ve noticed that my ex g/f white trailer trashThelma (pronounced El-mah) has been having some medical problems with her latest beau, Casey Culligan, the sleazy local funerel director. He’s been in the hospital the last few days with some kind of rectal problems and suffering terribly. I see Thelma is starting to give me the eye when I walk by. I am having a harder and harder time resisting her blonde hair with the black roots, her toothless smile, and the way she spits her tobacco juice all over the ground. Should I wait a bit longer, until Casey is on his deathbed, or make my move while the fire is hot??

I have some floating aquatic plants that may have snail eggs on them. Will unconditioned tap water kill them? Will it harm the plants? I could bleach the plants with a dilute mixture of bleach/water but if I can accomplish the same thing with a few days in a bucket of tap water, i would prefer that.

He is 15 months old and has been hitting everyone, sometimes with his hand and sometimes with heavy stuff that hurts. We usually grab his hand and say "NO, THAT HURTS" but it’s just not working. It’s been going on for a while now. He also does everything we tell him NO to. Like emptying the culligan water machine, climbing on the table, throwing things at people, banging on laptops, and digging in the garbage. A week ago he went up to a stranger at the park and started throwing sand at her. Another time a couple months ago he ran into a baby in a pet store and tried to hit her in the face. A few days ago I was talking to my Grandma for 45 seconds and in that time my son had grabbed my phone off the bathroom sink and put it in the toilet. Needless to say, I’m now without a phone. From what I understand all this behavior is normal (basically) but I’ve never been around any other kids so I’m not sure. Could you tell me from experience if this is normal? How do you teach your kids to behave? It just seems to be getting worse. Thanks for all suggestions and answers!
Now I feel bad reading this. My son isn’t a monster, he is USUALLY a little angel. Smiling, snuggling, and on the move. But we have around 10 episodes like I explained every day.
He can’t talk yet, so it’s hard.
Just thought I’d add that my Mom wonders why he started hitting. He doesn’t see anyone getting hit (violently, at least). Sometimes there’s rough housing, like wrestling, and his uncle is 12 and gives playful punches to us, but not him.
There are 3 laptops in the house, 2 are kept on the table. He pulls out the chairs and climbs up onto the table. He can open them and everything. And the toilet thing my mom got on me about too. She said he could have drowned lol. No, I was getting ready for us to take a shower, I had the water running and everything. My grandma came over to drop something off so I met her in the hallway with the bathroom just feet away. He pulled a slick one. And the garbages are hard to hide. I try to keep them in the entry way put people do need to use them lol. I do remove him, but he runs right back!! You not having these problems has me worried that this might not be normal. I’m not sure who I should talk to about these problems.
lol no marie I am not a spanker or a hand swatter. So I don’t know where he picked up the hobby of hitting.

It started a few days ago. Faucet was slightly stuck on, dripping, then running. Today I took shower and it won’t turn off. Running full force currently. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have recently started drinking alot more water after a long period of not having drank as much as I should have. I go through this evey few months or so. After a few days of drinking water, I begin to feel pain in my right side, underneath my ribcage, more towards the back. I don’t know if it’s one of my kidneys or my liver or what. The pain can be pretty strong; it usually happens after I’ve consumed quite a bit of water (nothing too extreme, though), and sometimes lasts the better part of a day. Is it just one of my organs detoxing?

Don't water softeners remove hard water and iron?

We have well water and Culligan installed a water softener 2 days ago. I just washed some whites and they have that faded rust colored stain just as they did before it was installed. Does it take a few days to work itself through?

My shower gets warm, but barely, but by kitchen sink still gets very hot fairly quickly, as does my bathroom sink. My water heater (gas, standing pilot ignition) is fairly new, from 2002. This thing with the shower seemed to start a few days ago and with each passing day it has taken longer and longer for the water to get warm, and the max temp it reaches has been lower and lower. I haven’t touched my heater since the fall, when I bled off some of the water as routine maintenance. Can anyone help? Thanks.

We have a Samsung side by side refrigerator and the water dispenser stopped working about two months ago. It would work for a day or so and then stop again. Our ice maker had been having problems and just stopped working a few days ago. It will dump and fill up with water if you push the test button but other than that it just sits there with the frozen ice cubes in it.

We are going to replace the ice maker but we didn’t know if it would have any effect on the water dispenser. Anyone know the answer?
