Do Glo fish need to live in filtered water? The tank at my pet store didn’t seem to have any filtration in their glo fish tank. Do I need a heater? I plan to put the tank in my bedroom which is usually room temperature. Also, is there a minimum tank capacity that I can have? I want to buy 3, if that helps.
Thanks for your help

Ive heard of all methods of purifying water but none seem to specify that the water will be CHEMICAL free. For example if I was to distill ocean water that had been contaminated with petrolium, or rain water that is tainted with pollution. What method of filtration could be used to garantee pure drinkable water.
No stupid answers please. Like the first one.

I shut off both hot and cold water under the sink and then I left both faucets open to depressurize the system. I have tugged and pulled and twisted the damn thing so hard that I’ve pulled a muscle in my back. It has not moved a hair – not a micron.
What am I doing wrong?
It is an under-sink filter with three cartridges.
The worst part is: without filtration, the water may be "safe" but I wouldn’t give it to an enemy. Tastes like chlorinated algae.
Yes, I am doing it the right way. I think the tool is the best way to go. Thanks everyone.
By the "right way", I mean in the correct direction. Thanks anyway, I bet people do try to unscrew it the wrong way, and hopefully that will help someone who searches for this in the future.

I am in the market for a water softener. I am looking at the La PURE filtration and conditioning system. I am hoping to connect with someone who actually has the system. How would you rate it compared to a Kinetico or Culligan water softener? Is it effective? Does it really condition water without salt? Any information would be helpful.

I was looking to maybe start a brackish water tank…I was wandering what is different from pure freshwater as far a filtration and maintenance and water quality.
