this is my first time having a water softener and im not sure on a few things, first can you drink it? if not, will the filter in my fridge make it safe to drink and dose it usually go to every foset in the house?
The sink is directly across from the fridge and my house sits on concrete slab so there really isn’t a way to run it from there. Outside my house there’s a water outlet (for lack of a better term.. I’m no plumber!) and I’m wondering if it would be ok to use that and run it into the house. Any info is appreciated!!
I’m completing the sale of my home tomorrow and of course need to take my fridge. it’s connected to the water line which we soldered in. so it’s not a saddle valve. Is there a small cap I can buy for that line so I can shut it off without having to turn off the water to the entire house?
I recently replaced the water filter for the in-door water dispenser on my fridge, yet the water still tastes bad. I emptied 5 gallons of water out after changing the filter but the taste only improved slightly. What could be causing the water to taste bad still?
The filter is in the grille at the base of the fridge (push button type). Bleach will run right out if poured in there.
How/where would I find the water lines to flush out?
The area I am staying in for the summer has nasty tap water. I have a PUR water filter pitcher in my fridge but the acrid sweetness of the water remains. Is there anything I can do short of blowing money on bottled water all summer?

If I buy one of those fridges that have a water and ice dispenser, what do I do if there is not a water access point where the fridge spot is? The closet water access point is 10 feet away on the other side of the kitchen?
We recently moved the fridge to clean the back so I’m wondering if it’s now too close to the wall ? But yesterday and this morning the water dispenser which is inside the fridge wasn’t working. Sounded like it wanted to so I replaced the filter and still didn’t work. There was clicking when I pushed the button again. Still no water. Yesterday we left the fridge door open for a half hour and then it worked. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I have a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator. The ice and water filter says turn left to remove. But i have turned this thing as hard as i could but it wouldn’t budge. What should i do?

Sometimes it dispenses water, sometimes it doesn’t. There’s no distinguishable pattern as to when it works or when it doesn’t work. What could be the source of this problem? Additional note: the main water line that leads to the fridge is also split off to feed my automatic espresso machine. That machine never has problems with water. This leads me to believe that the problem has to be something specific to the fridge.

I have a heated pitcher thing from Braun that boils water for teas and stuff…if I boil the water, and let it cool, then put in the fridge, does it remove the harmful bacteria and stuff that water filters are designed to remove?
So we just bought a new fridge and hooked up the water line, I noticed in the water that there are little white particles floating in the water. Does anyone know what the cause of this is?
I have dumped around two gallons of water trying to get rid of the taste in the water, had the fridge for three days now
Right now the fridge is dripping water from the water dispenser, and it’s been going on for about 20 minutes.
This has happened before a few different times, and eventually, after maybe an hour, it stops dripping. The last time this happened was about a month ago. I use the water dispenser daily.
What’s going on? Any easy fixes?

I have a GE Side By Side Refrigerator. Ice Maker is working, but Water Dispenser is not working. Here is what I have done thus far: a) Replaced the water filter with a brand new one b) Decreased the temperature in the fridge
