I have one of those water filters you fill then out in the fridge, and theres always black little pepples on the top part that sometimes goes into my water when you poor, is that safe and what are they?
I got some bottled water after dinner, passed-out, and couldn’t finish it. I hear bacteria grows in bottled water, so I put it in the fridge as soon as I woke up the next day. My room is air conditioned, and I don’t think it was in direct sunlight. Will I get stomach illness if I drink it? Am I just overreacting? Thanks!
I am buying some guppies but i need to know if filtered water, like out of the fridge, would be ok to put in the tank.
I am talking about those small coolers (with red and blue tap) with hot and cold water taps used in small offices. Do these coolers entire functionality of a fridge , such as compressors, evaporators etc. ? Or these (cooling part) work on a totally different principle of cooling ?
The water where I live has extremely high ratings, and I am confident in drinking it, even though I still regularly keep a PUR pitcher in the fridge. I’m wondering if it is ok to just fill a cup with extremely hot tap water and then put a tea bag in it, as opposed to boiling water first. Thanks!
I have 1 gallon jugs of water from publix that I fill with tap water and I’ve had tap water in one for like 6 weeks, is it safe to drink?
No shit, I was just wondering if any kind of bacteria can grow in the water because someone told me that could happen
Lol, I store it in the fridge because straight out of the faucet it’s always warm and shitty
it’s a kenmore fridge
there is always water coming into my fridge, i have to put a bowl in the back of the inside so the water will not get on all my food. The ice maker also doesn’t produce any ice. Could this also be related?
I have a ice maker/water dispenser on my fridge but the water that comes out is at room temperature, shouldn’t it be cold and how can I make it do that? (I have a Frigidaire). Also, the ice maker is only making crushed ice even though I have it set on cubed. Thanks!!
Also, It’s been doing that ever since I bought it a couple months ago. It was the sales floor model.
The line leading to the water valve (solenoid) is pressurized on the back, but the water supply line to the ice maker is not pressurized. Also, the water dispenser is barely dripping out.
Does it sound like the water valve? (My fridge is only 2 years old.) If so, can I manually work the valves until the valve is replaced?
Thanks
There was some ice on the tube extension leading to the ice maker, and I got the out.
I have a Brita dispenser like the one below and wanted to know if its safe to keep on a counter and not in the fridge. Any chance of microbes or bacteria growing in the filter? I read a long time ago that bacteria can grow on the carbon that’s in the filter but can’t find the link anymore.

I bought a new fridge. When I took all of the plastic off there are still a few pieces stuck in the water dispenser? Does anyone know a good way to get rid of this? I went to Best buy and the salesman recommended a blowdryer to melt it but that didn’t do anything. Thanks!!!!!

My fridge is about a year old and has a water and ice dispenser. Although it has the dispenser, unfortunately I don’t/can’t use it because the water and ice taste horrible! I have not changed the filter in it yet because I figured that wasn’t the problem since the water and ice has tasted weird to me since the beginning. The filter that is in it is the filter that came with the fridge, so I don’t know if they put crappy filters in to begin with or if that doesn’t make a difference, but I really want to be able to have good tasting water and ice from my fridge. I took the filter out a few weeks ago to see what brand it was and it says "Pur" so I’m pretty sure they didn’t put a cheap filter in to begin with. I’m just confused as to why the water tastes so disgusting and I want it fixed. Does anybody have any ideas???
By the way, it’s a Whirlpool refrigerator, if that helps any.
I have emptied more than 3 gallons of that water and then tried to taste it and it still tasted strange
