I’ve been using a Brita filtration system to filter the water I use to make my daughter’s formula for the last 6 months. I just heard that tap water contains things in high levels that aren’t necessarily healthy for small babies. It dawned on me that maybe Brita filtration systems don’t filter out all of the impurities, so now I’m wondering if this has been ok. Have you used Brita, or similar, filtration systems for your child’s formula? Does anyone know if this is safe? Thanks in advance for your input!

I live in southern california. My sister lives in oregon where you can drink tap water out of the sink. I usually boil water using drinking water. Does boiling tap water really get rid of the impurities?
Looking for a good water filter that removes impurities from the tap water and makes better healthier drinking water. I am not happy with bottled water and some of the water filters that are available in the market. I drink well water and I heard well water may contain arsenic. So, I need a filter that removes common impurities, bacterias and arsenic. Any suggestions?
I’ve heard that one difference is simply that, with filtration, the impure water with its impurities eventually clogs up the filter while in reverse osmosis there is a constant flow that washes the impurities away. Is this the only difference?

I have water filters on my coffee maker, my kitchen sink tap, and my refridgerator…. All of them have some kind of indicator letting me know when I need to change the filter…. which is fine, but how does the indicator know when its time to change? Is it on a timer, is it on a # of use, does it actually detect if the number of impurities after it is filtered?? Is it actually accurate as to the effectiveness?

I know that those brita filters can filter out impurities in cheap booze and make them taste alot better. I was wondering if it could filter out the alcohol in mouthwash?
I guess I phrased my question wrong.
I want the alcohol seperated from everything else in the mouthwash. So I want everything else filtered out.
