Is my Kenmore 300 water softener supposed to regenerate every night or just when it is needed?
I have a Kenmore Ultrasoft 275 water softener. There is water inside same level with salt which is at level 2. I never saw water for last 3 year when refilling salt. Does it suppose to have water inside?
we had a water softener rough in installed when we built our home three years ago. we finally purchased a water softener and don’t really want to pay the installation costs. my husband is becoming handy, but is worried about trying to install it himself…especially since it has to do with plumbing. it’s a kenmore 350 series. do you think we need to pay for the installation, or should it be pretty easy?
I have a 2 year old kenmore fridge that has the water filter cannister in the bottom. The water tastes and smells bad. I thought it was the PUR filter and I replaced it. It still is same. I then took out filter and flushed system(its a plastic tube coiled up behind the crisper). It still tastes and smells bad. Is it the line coming from under the faucet that connects to the fridge or the line inside the fridge or the water intake pump bad? I really flushed it good twice but the taste/smell comes back. My Kenmore Cold-spot is 10 yrs old. Water is not getting to the lines. I can hear the ice maker trying to drop ice, but there is no sound from the water dispenser when I depress the front. It’s older so I don’t think I have a filter, any suggestions?
I’ve checked the cut off switch and that works fine.
Plus, It is hooked up to my RO, so it gets good water. If it is the silonoid, where is it and can I replace it myself?
i have a kenmore fridge thats about 4 years old. for some reason, my ice and water dispenser just stopped working. read through the troubleshooting section of the manual and cant seem to figure it out.
i havent messed with anything related to the fridge and the filter is still good.
any ideas?

even if the water supply was cut off, when i push the paddle for ice, shouldnt i hear the motor trying to turn?
filter was replaced several moths ago and the light is green. also not located on an outside wall
Does anyone know if a brita water filter ment to replace Kenmore part number 9010 will fit and function as Kenmore part number 9030? The brita filters are MUCH cheaper, but I want to know that it will work before I buy it.
