I noticed last week, where you pour fabric softner in my washer, it is full of water. I tried doing a load of laundry without adding any more fabric softner, just to see if it the water would go away. I also tried adding a little bit more fabric softner to the water, and just the fabric softner goes away. The water is still up to the "full" line. Any ideas what I can do or what the problem is??

I have an electric 5 gallon water cooler and I noticed a little bit of green slime inside the water reservoir. It it safe to just wipe it clean? Should I disinfect it? With what? Thanks

It doesn’t do anything when I put it on my skin or on the counter top, but if I get a little bit of it around the sink faucets, or the drain, it goes crazy! What causes it to do this?

I’d like to know which one you have and how you like it. My water is of moderate hardness with a little bit of iron. I want to soften it a touch and remove some of the iron but not completely. I have an average ph level and I don’t want to use salt.
Please no more answers from those of you who have or recommend salt softeners. This question is for those who have alternative softeners to see if they work and how people like them. Example, magnetic systems or catalyst systems ect.

Hello, I am worried about something. Am I drinking too much water? I drink about 5-8 glasses of water a day. I do not drink anything else but a little bit of milk and sometimes an occasional diet soda. I recently found out that i intake a lot of sodium. Will drinking water lower my sodium level or is there no change?

I drink 10 glasses of water a day. I was wondering if for example, I drink those 10 glasses before my lunch and then no water afterwards. will I be in shape still ? because I heard that if I drink water after the meal then I will be in MORE shape coz I will be kind of burning a little bit of calories. I heard that it might be better if I drink after the meal, but I’m not sure…as long as you drink 8-10 glasses of water a day no matter when…probably it doesn’t matter.
help?
thanx!

I have kidney stones and I knew lemon juice and lemonade would help in treating it as well as others. Well I started drinking water and put lemon juice from regular lemon juice bottle 100% concentrate. I would pass a little bit of the kidney stones. I got this bottled water with lemon flavored in it and the company is Dasani, if that helps any. I started drinking it and started passing a lot of small kidney stones! So what I’m wondering is what’s the difference between regular lemon juice with water and this water in the bottom with the lemon flavor from Dasani? I wanted to know what’s in that bottle so I can make my water the same way and don’t have to keep going out and buying more bottles like this. How do I make my water like that?

I just moved into a new construction and it has a new water heater. When I turned on the hot water faucet to let the water pour just a little bit, it runs fine with a small steady stream. The second I turn the faucet more, the water will begin to pour sporadically like its choking and the faucet will shake. Are you suppose to break in a new water heater?

I’ve seen multiple portable water bottle brands that come with an insertable water filter. However, I know that with my water pitcher filter at home, it takes a little bit of time for the water to drip down and filter. Is this the case with these portable bottles as well?
Also, none of these brands state which type of filter they sell/use. Does anyone know which manufacturer sells purified, ceramic, or reverse osmosis filters?
Thanks!
Thanks, but I’m looking for more info specifically on the portable bottle filters

Water isn’t flowing from the system at all. I bought it 2 years ago. Since then I was regularly changing 3 of 4 filters: sediment filter, pre-carbon filter and post-carbon filter, these 3 were last replaced in April 09.
The fourth filter, TFC RO Membrane, is said to work for 2-5 years. I don’t believe it should be clogged by now.
System is only used a little bit, for the family of 2 people.
Why did it stop working? How can I troubleshoot? Their troubleshooting guide doesn’t help.

I`m going to petsmart in a little bit to take care of some fish needs and need some more of that kind of stuff.
Also, what on earth is HBH Aqua-Pure ammonia reducer? A friend of my dads gave us a 40 or 50 gal tank along with the setup, all the fish products, basically 00 worth of stuff. This product was included and I have no idea how to use it. I dont need to use it yet, but it would be a good idea to know how to.
It says to place rinsed zeolite granules in aqua-pure filter media bad of other filtration equipment. What does that mean?
No it isnt new. The previous owner had the tank for several years. She got rid of it because she was moving and didnt have enough room for it. There was only one fish left but it died.

At some grocery stores I notice that distilled water is a little bit more (in cents) expensive than spring. Why?
