So I was brushing my teeth this morning and right when I had begun brushing I swallowed some of the toothpaste. It’s the ’3D Crest White System(with fluoride)’ and it clearly says to call poison control if more than a pea size is swallowed. The toothpaste I had swallowed was already foamy so I don’t think it could have been a pea sized worth all together. All I know is that fluoride is terrible if swallowed and that now I have a slight tummy ache. </3
any advice?

We had them come and repressurize the tank (with our own pump btw) and change the filters. Since then we got a bill for over 0. I am postponing paying it because I lost my job. Now the darn thing is leaking every time we turn it on. Its at the base by the slide switch. We can’t call them to fix it because of the outstanding bill. What can we do? Any fix-it-yourself websites out there anyone can recommend?

What is the function V = K * f(P) for a fluid flowing through a fixed-size orifice, where V is the delivered volume per unit of time, P is the fluid pressure, and K is a calibration constant? I can determine K from boundary-limit conditions on sample instances. A near-approximation function would suffice.

In my specific instance, 20 < P < 100 psi, and the fluid is water.

Can someone tell me the mechanisms involved in this process?

1g of a 1:1 mix of naphthalene and benzoic acid were dissolved in diethyl ether, then extracted using first NaOH, then water.

the separated liquids:
naphthalene in ether – mixed with anhydrous sodium sulfate and then filtered and dried; ended up with pure napthalene

NaOH extract containing benzoic acid – HCl added, chilled, then filtered to get pure benzoica cid crystals.
I’ve figured out the acid extraction half…still working on the Naphthalene though

it seems such a waste. Is there anyone who offers cartridges which have screw off top or bottom so it can simply be refilled with fresh activated carbon? I can find 50 pouinds of activated carbon for like a dollar a pound. That would be about 1/20th the cost of buying a whole plastice cartridge every few months.

Well it sat in the side of a mountain for a hundred millenium I would hope the carbon should age well sitting in a pastic bag in my closet. I mean how long do those store filters sit on the shelf before you come along and buy them? Are those still "activated" either? If anything should age pretty well I would hope it would be a charcoal rock.
