I know they even SELL it in stores! Why is the government forcing fluoride down our throats and forcing us to absorb it through our skin, when water filters will not even remove it (except expensive reverse osmosis?!)
If anyone thinks fluoridated water is good for a child, read this…written by American Dental Association….the ONLY people who were advocating for fluoridated water in the first place?!

I am SOO frustrated that my water is fluoridated…it is very bad for adults, too….it is only sometimes good for teeth but nearly always bad for other health.
By the way, water filters really do not filter out fluoride, just chlorine, mold, heavy metals (mercury etc) and bacteria.
I was mortified to find out my filter wasn’t filtering fluoride.
Here in Pennsylvania, there is a bill out to mandate statewide fluoridation!!! My local rep is one of the authors…ugh…I feel so helpless.
Nazi Germany used fluoride to placate German citizens, because it causes hypothyroidism. It may coincide with the U.S. obesity epidemic.
I get something called Mountain Valley Spring Water from Arkansas in glass bottles. I sure hope it’s not fluoridated! (I am pretty sure it’s not.)
I’m doing a science project on the question above, I’m using lemon, orange, and apple juice. Strangely, it was the cold temperature that changed the pH of apple juice more basic. Why? And does mold affect pH in any way? And how does time/temperature affect pH of acids?
Some resources and sites with information on the average pH of the juices would be helpful.
x_X I interpreted my data wrong, the one in the cooler temperature stayed the same and the warmer temperature ones became more acidic.
I just have a lot of moisture. Enough to cause mold. Don’t have water leaking in. I have gotten an estimate for waterproofing. Costly. Will any product beside Dry-loc, work? It hasn’t or I didn’t put enough. What about the paint on rubber products. I’m afraid everyone is just trying to sell their work for waterproofing. I’ve also been told about a moisture proof carpet pad for basements. Could I use that on the walls as well, to preven moisture and mold from coming through?
I am moving out tomorrow and I have a Pur water filter (stage 3). The cartridge inside it is almost finished (about 90% red). I do not want to throw it away because it is almost finished but I’m afraid that if I leave it inside it will grow mold. I am storing my stuff in a storage facility for several months. What is the best thing to do?
I bought a 24 pack of poland spring water bottles and instead of using one daily and throwing it out, I refill it with water from my PUR pitcher and reuse it the next day…Now I know that I can’t use the same bottle forever…..my question is, how many times is safe? (considering the mold or whatever bad stuff that eventually builds up in the bottles)
thanks alot

OMG, I forgot to put salt in my water softener. Now I just opened the salt tank & saw the mold in there. What can I do to clean it out? Please help if you have any advice. I am thinking of using a shop vacuum to suck all the water & mold out, cleaning it out with soap, & then putting salt in after. Is this even a good idea?
We have a house with a grassy backyard that grows right up to the edge of the house. We keep grass well maintained- short. Sprinkler water & rain water run towards the house and get the walls very wet and is leaving a green water stain on the wall (stucco). Is this something to be concerned about? Will it cause termite problems? mold? What can be done? Get rid of the grass? Put down concrete? Re- level the entire yard to slope away from the house? Who do I contact to evaluate the situation? Landscaper or gardener?
We have jus topped off our pool to ope it for the summer. We have well water. We have had the pool water tested twice and all is good except it is green in color. Thre is no algae, slime or mold in the water an all we can think that it is is the rust in the water. Does anyone know what to add, or what to do to rmove rust from pool water? Thank you.
I use to drink Dasani then I heard about some mold being in it (in the place that manufacters it in my town), I’ve tried the Pur and Brita filters but they don’t seem to make any difference. Any suggestions?
I just got a used frig off of Craigs list. It is only one year old but, has been stored . . . now that it is in my house and clean it occured to me that I may need to clean the water lines for ice and water. Any idea on how to do that? It never occured to me until now there could be old stale water or even mold in there.
Please help.
They look like mold spots and its in the filter where the screen is and it just looks like something I don’t want my water to be running over…
Not the electronic screen, the filter screen on the BOTTOM of the filter when you take it out.
I have a "clear" shower curtain that has those darn "water spots" on it. There is no mold or dirt, JUST those darn water spots. I tried spray window cleaner, but that doesn’t clean them.
ANY suggestions???
I took out my old brita filter, and the four holes in the bottom had green dots in it, not just the black I was expecting for the carbon. So I thought it was mold. I bought a new package of filters, and ALL FOUR fillters had the green little balls in them. Does anyone else have these little green balls in their filter ( in bottom four holes) . Is yours just black ( carbon) and I thus have mold?? Help!!!
