He is 15 months old and has been hitting everyone, sometimes with his hand and sometimes with heavy stuff that hurts. We usually grab his hand and say "NO, THAT HURTS" but it’s just not working. It’s been going on for a while now. He also does everything we tell him NO to. Like emptying the culligan water machine, climbing on the table, throwing things at people, banging on laptops, and digging in the garbage. A week ago he went up to a stranger at the park and started throwing sand at her. Another time a couple months ago he ran into a baby in a pet store and tried to hit her in the face. A few days ago I was talking to my Grandma for 45 seconds and in that time my son had grabbed my phone off the bathroom sink and put it in the toilet. Needless to say, I’m now without a phone. From what I understand all this behavior is normal (basically) but I’ve never been around any other kids so I’m not sure. Could you tell me from experience if this is normal? How do you teach your kids to behave? It just seems to be getting worse. Thanks for all suggestions and answers!
Now I feel bad reading this. My son isn’t a monster, he is USUALLY a little angel. Smiling, snuggling, and on the move. But we have around 10 episodes like I explained every day.
He can’t talk yet, so it’s hard.
Just thought I’d add that my Mom wonders why he started hitting. He doesn’t see anyone getting hit (violently, at least). Sometimes there’s rough housing, like wrestling, and his uncle is 12 and gives playful punches to us, but not him.
There are 3 laptops in the house, 2 are kept on the table. He pulls out the chairs and climbs up onto the table. He can open them and everything. And the toilet thing my mom got on me about too. She said he could have drowned lol. No, I was getting ready for us to take a shower, I had the water running and everything. My grandma came over to drop something off so I met her in the hallway with the bathroom just feet away. He pulled a slick one. And the garbages are hard to hide. I try to keep them in the entry way put people do need to use them lol. I do remove him, but he runs right back!! You not having these problems has me worried that this might not be normal. I’m not sure who I should talk to about these problems.
lol no marie I am not a spanker or a hand swatter. So I don’t know where he picked up the hobby of hitting.

My husband and I just got back from a 2 night trip away. I discovered that while we were gone my mom accidentally used regular crest toothpaste on our daughter. She did not use the flouride free safe to swallow baby toothpaste I provided in the overnight bag. Can anything bad happen because of this??? Please help.

Last year I bought a brand new home. When we first moved in all the toilets had a reddish (not rusty looking though) film around where the water in the toilet sat. I have noticed since then that whenever we don’t use a toilet for a while (like if we are out of town) the same thing happens. I have also noticed that some of my silverware is rusting in the dishwasher which has never happened to me before. We have a Culligan water softener which is supposedly in perfect working order. Any idea what could cause this?
Thanks for the answers. We don’t have well water over here. And the only thing that really seems to be rusting in knives for some reason. They are not cheap knives either. I have gone through at least 3 sets of knives that cost over 0 each. I’ve tried Cuisine Art, JA Henkles, etc. I mean these things say "stainless steel" My mom has knives that she’s had for 10+ years and runs them through the dishwasher all the time and she’s never seen a speck of rust. I just don’t get it.

I spent 3 weeks looking for a place with and without my realtors help, and then she showed me this beautiful condo. I decided to purchase the condo within the next week, and it became mine. Everything seemed to be going ok, and my parents and I have been fixing it up. It is almost finished, but a couple of days ago, we found out that the Culligan water softner is not included on the condo (even though we bought the condo "as is"). We found this out because we called culligan to do a repair or come look at it because it was not working, and found out it was not ours, but theirs (which couldn’t be repaired unless bought or rented through them). Now I am really upset because through these 3 weeks, the realtor did not say that it was not included…. and if she did, we would have lowered the offer price by 0 or so. Then my mother called the Real Estate company and talked to the realtor (which was no help, because she was not willing to help). So my mother called her boss, and she said she would be calling back (and my mom had to call HER back because she never did). Then the "boss" said that she would talk to the realtor and the closing agent and call her back today (SUPRISE, she never did). I am curious as to know whether the real estate company is liable for not disclosing the information that the water softner was not included on this property [(Which was foreclosed)]. We also had an inspector and title search done on the property to make sure everything else was ok. And is the better business bureau related to this matter? Or the attorney general for the state of ND through consumer protection?
I never checked what the consumer protection was about. I just heard about them a couple of hours ago from my ma. It seemed worth looking into. Of course I would not complain about cable not being there, but it’s the fact culligan never got that out of there and the real estate agency did not either…or tell us about it!

You guys are probably getting sick of me, because I’m like asking all these questions. Lol. But yeah, I have more questions to ask. Ijust need to make sure I’m prepared before I get 2 guinea pigs.

1. I understand that you have to give guinea pigs fresh water everyday. Can you give them tap water? Or do I need to buy like one of the PUR filters? And yes I know you have to give them one of those supplements in their water in order to give them more Vitamin C.

2. If you have 2 guinea pigs, will they get jealous over one another? Like if I took one out, and left one in? And then switched? My mom asked me that, but I really don’t know.

3. What type of paper do you put on the bottom of the cage, so when you have to clean it, you can just role the paper up, and throw it away? Because that would help me out alot when I clean the cage.

4. Are you supposed to feed guinea pigs carrots everyday? Because on some websites it says feed every other day, some say every day. Which should I do? Better yet, what should I feed them everyday, and what should I feed them every other day? I know fruit is like a treat, and should be given every other day…

5. You’re not supposed to get a running wheel, or one of those excercise balls right? Because it can damage the guinea pig’s feet, and back?

My mom has told me you shouldn’t drink distilled water. What is it used for that you shouldn’t drink it? What makes it different?

I got him about two weeks ago, and put him in the tank with another goldfish of the same species. They seemed perfectly content with eachother. I used water from my Pur filter for their aquarium. I just looked in the tank about thirty minutes ago, and I saw him lying on his side at the botttom of the tank. He wasn’t floating, and his eyes weren’t glazed, so I don’t think he’s dead.
What could be wrong?? My other fish seems fine, but I did get him a day after Mystery (the fish that’s lying down) PLEASE HELP!!!
I don’t see any movement from him at all. I don’t think he’s breathing, but I don’t know. There’s no filter in the tank, just a bubbler in which to put oxygen in the water. Remember, I used a PUR water pitcher filter to filter the water and use it in my tank.
OH, and I cleaned the tank two weeks ago. The goldfish are pretty small, and my mom says if I clean the tank toomuch it’ll cause them to go into shock.

Will drinking 8 glasses of water a day help with weight loss and acne?
A few years ago my mom asked the dermatologist if drinking water will help acne and the doctor said no, it doesn’t play any roll. I always thought it did?
Will drinking a lot of water make me gain water weight?

Hi here, im moving soon, a huge move, a my mom packed our water filter (our apartment doesn’t have water coming straight from the refrigerater so we bought one of those Britta filters) And so for the next few weeks we’ll have to be drinking from the kitchen sink, could that be bad? I had a bottle of Deer Park water the other day, and I didn’t care for it that much. When I told my mom how I didn’t like the taste of Deer Park or Evian water, she told me I was wierd and that water is water. I just think those two have a funny taste that I don’t care for. I actually prefer the taste of certain waters over others (my favorites are Aquafina, Dasani, and Fiji). I was wondering if anyone else had a distinguished taste for certain types of water? (If so, what are your favorites?) Or am I just wierd like my mom said?
