I live in Orange and my wife is expecting our first child. She would really love to have a water birth but even with insurance coverage, delivery at a birthing center would be about ,000. We’d prefer not to spend so much on the delivery so we have more money for the baby so it looks like a hospital birth is our only option, but we’d still like to be able to use a birthing pool/tub.
I know people people who spend a ton of money on those and it I think is really stupid. I know people who get this idea in there head that these things work. But the city has to filter the water and it has to be so clean because they give it to everyone in the city including schools. They also put things in it to make it healthier so I was just wondering if it’s another scam.
I’m interested in bringing a club to my school in which I would help raise and donate money to the cause of providing safe drinking water to developing areas of the world. I’ve become aware of how crucial to life it is to have clean water by how many people simply don’t have it, the deaths it causes and the increase in quality of life it can bring to the people that it would go to. I want to know if anyone is aware of an established, supported organization that is dedicated to bringing clean drinking water to impoverished places that I could affiliate my club with. Thanks:)
Have you ever had an in-home water filtration sales pitch? What did you think? Did you purchase? Does it work?
I do have a Marine Reef Aquarium that requires 0 TDS, which them claim this system will provide. If this were the case then it could save me money in the long run while providing the rest of the home with soft water.
Oh, and Nelis, they offered us the same soap and shampoo deal, 10yrs of stuff I likely won’t use. Flags started to fly when I get that "Shamwow" vibe.
Jason : Yes staingless, Yes, Yes, and Yes. It is top-of-the-line this I have confirmed but, I don’t know how much it should cost.
I just built a 750 gallon pond and I am on a tight budget. As many people know a good filter is usually about 0+ but I don’t have that kind of money to spend. I found online a do it yourself filter on youtube. I wanted to know which would you think would be more effective. Here are my two choices, a DIY filter made out of a Rubbermaid container or this store bought one for 0 for a 1,000 gallon pond. My goal is to get one that needs minimal cleaning and keeps the water clear. I provided two links, one of ebay and one of youtube.com. If you don’t want to use the youtube link just go on youtube and type "diy pond filter". For ebay type "pressurized filter 1000" and it should be the first one on e-bay.
I have been scouring the net to find details or plans for building and installing my own home Solar hot water heating system. All I seem to come across is adverts and links asking for me to send money for plans. Can anyone suggest a site where I can find comprehensive and detailed plans/requirements and information on one of these systems. I actually dont mind paying….Just dont want to be scammed…
tap water is soooooooo much more convienent. is it really bad for you if you can get past the after taste? sometimes i think bottled water is over done so people can make money.
I want to convert my old freshwater tank into a saltwater but i hardly have any money is it possible to use all the filters that i had in the fresh water? what do i have to do to sterilize them plz help?
Wake the hell up Americans your own government is allowing you to be poisoned and intoxicated just for these chemical companies can make money. Europeans ban them so why can’t we??????????
We are going to close on a house in 13 days (our first home), and last weekend we purchased a fridge. The fridge that is in the home now (not staying) is a traditional fridge with a top freezer. Simple, traditional, blah.
The one we purchased is a side-by-side with a water filter in the door. Fancy!
The question is this: now that we have to install a waterline to the fridge, ss this something we can do/ask the talented father-in-law to do, or should we just grit our teeth and hire a pro?
Obviously hiring a professional would be easiest, but if installing it ourselves is a possibility and will save us money, it’s well worth it.
Couldn’t find this on the internet…Simple question really. My nearest store only carries Brita pitcher filters, I have a generic Pur pitcher. I don’t want to waste money. They appear to be the same size, but I can’t tell without opening it up. Are they interchangeable?
I’m looking for either the same basic product offered somewhere else for less money, or another less expensive alternative product which will accomplish the same thing. Thanks.
I need to lose alot of weight by the end of august me and my mom have a bet that if i could lose ten or more pounds by august 30 i get money. i was wondering if drinking green tea , water, jumping rope and waling for an hour help me acheive this goal.
Water, especially clean and pure water is something that most of us probably take for granted. In the good old days of the distant past, most people could just drink tap water without any worries of any contamination. Nowadays, it is a completely different story. Having a good water filter for your home and for your drinking water is essential, unless, of course, you buy bottled water for all of your drinking water needs.
There is plenty to be concerned about when it comes to drinking water and the contaminants found in most tap water.
There is bacteria, strains of antibiotics, fluoride, chlorine, lead and other heavy metals and sometimes benzine and other harmful materials.
When looking at various makes and models of under the counter and counter top water filters, check to see exactly what they do and do not eliminate. Some remove only the heavy metals but do not remove other toxins that require a more sophisticated method of filtration, such as reverse osmosis.
Out of all of the water filters, there are only certain ones made for home use that actually remove all of the pathogens and chemicals such as fluoride and arsenic. Many of the other filters leave these toxins in the water even after it's been filtered.
It is very important to get the best possible water filter that will provide you with truly pure drinking water with the least amount of contamination and impurities possible.
Some refrigerators have water filters that are built right into the door. Some of these work well but most do not eliminate all of the chemicals from your water.
Personally, I prefer the Gary Null brand reverse osmosis water filter.
The Gary Null Water Filter is an advanced multimedia system. It combines the unparalleled bacteria and parasite removing performance of ceramic, with the chemical reducing ability of activated carbon, blended with a lead-eliminating media. Activated carbon removes more chlorine than any other material available on the market. For those individuals who want to eliminate fluoride from their water, the Gary Null Filter also contains a fluoride removing filter.
If you really want the best water filter for your money, this is the one to get and it's not really that expensive.
It sells for around $320.00 and the filters last about one year. The replacement cost for both filters is around $160.00 or so.
If you are looking for a cheaper way to drink purer water, you can surely afford a brita water filter, which does do quite a lot of good, but does not go as far as a more expensive and more effective water purification system.
