and the spring scale reading when submerged in water is 3N , the density of water is 1000 kg/m^3
a) caluculate the buoyant force in water
b) calucualte the volume of object
c) calculate the density of object
d) how would the aboslute pressure at the bottom of the water change if the object was removed? explain your answer
thanks gintable. I have a quick question. what does rho_ojb stand for?

A 5 kg rock suspended above water weighs 49 N. When suspended beneath the surface of the water, its apparent weight is 48.0 N. The buoyant force on the rock is 1 N. The scale reading when the rock is released and rests at the bottom of the container is 58.8 N.
If the container of water on a bathroom type scale weighs 9.8 N, what is the scale reading when the rock is suspended beneath the surface of the water?
