i know soda has a high caloric content. this has a lot to do with the sugar, but is it affected by the fact that soda is carbonated? in other words, if i drink sparkling mineral water that doesn’t have additional sugar in it, will it have more calories than regular water?

I’ve heard that having beverages in plastic bottles in the heat, say in your car and over the next couple of days if it gets hot in your car, the plastic contaminates your water. is it safer to have like a glass bottle of soda in your car instead of a plastic bottle of a beverage? thanks.

How stupid can people be? I suppose soda and fruit juices are a much better choice of beverage for your kids. Doesn’t anyone realize that if your kids are brushing their teeth everyday with a fluoride toothpaste that they’re getting plenty of daily decay protection. I would rather give my kids bottled water, then the stuff coming out of the faucet, god only knows what could be in that. I suppose I could just attached water filters at every sink in the house.

I’m visiting the Philippines in about a week from now, and I am trying to refrain from drinking soda. I hear it’s supposed to be hot (there’s news of a drought happening). Of course I know tap water has to be boiled, but what about the bottled water? Would that be alright to drink as an alternative?
Sorry! Forgot to mention I’ll be staying in Benguet Province. However, I am planning to visit Ifugao and Pangisinan. I’ll be landing in Manila, but will continue on to Baguio.

I’m talking about three different kinds of flavored water:
1) like if I just put one of the kool-aid or any flavor packet into regular bottle water then is it still as good for you as drinking the plain water?
2) I have not drunk these in a long time, but those waters that fizz up like soda and they are still clear, and have like 0 calories, fats, and basically everything else. Is that still basically water.
3) and like the flavored Dansai waters.

I’m not talking about substituting water for what you normally drink, whether that be soda, juice etc. But I’m just talking about drinking water in addition to everything else you normally eat and drink.

Lately I’ve been feeling very sluggish and wanting to sleep a lot. Then it hit me that I’ve been drinking more soda and juice than water. I used to drink a lot of water but lately I’ve just been drinking about one water bottle a day and the rest is other drinks. I know that’s bad but will drinking 2 liters of water a day really bring up my energy levels?

If I drink a cup of Dr. Pepper or Coke, and I drink the same amount of water or double the amount of water right behind it, am I flushing the harmful effects of acid out of my system or does drinking water after a soda pop not help at all??

I have about 4 or 5 whiskey and cokes a day. One shot in each drink. Other than that, I drink water only. No soda, tea or juice of any kind. Strictly water. I also eat before I drink to avoid hangovers. Does this offset the liver/kidney/pancreas damage that could be caused by my drinking or am I still at risk for problems later in life?
