Will a filtration system do to take the salt/sodium out of the water from useing a salt based water softener or does it have to be an RO system. would one like like this filter system do’? GE® Dual Stage Drinking Water Filter, GNSV70FBL I don’t want to run my water bill way up and waste so much water like RO does.

I am trying to drink more water daily and cut back on sodas and coffee. But plain old water is boring. I still make myself drink it. But I really like the propel waters or the flavored waters like, Aquafina’s lemon. Or what about no sodium carbonated water like LaCroix?

When you are counting calories… It has no sugar, sodium or caffiene. It is really sweet like pop, so i was just wondering if it is too good to be true???

I have recently become addicted to drinking sparkling mineral water (Pellegrino, et al) I DO KNOW that it does have a small amount of sodium in it… I do drink regular water too… I am just wondering if there are any real ‘side effects’ that may occur… please have info sources :)

I currently use kcl in my softener, but the price keeps going up, and am considering using nacl. I would like to know how much more sodium i will be adding to my drinking water if I switch from kcl to nacl. thanks

This is a Chemistry question from a quiz. I really need help. Water softeners add salt to your water. What Chemical would be suitable to add to the water to eliminate the salt (NaCl) from the water before drinking? People with High Blood pressure need to avoid sodium.

Sometimes when I drink water, I feel like I just get thirstier no matter how much more I drink. And I’m not talking about bottled water, because I know sometimes that can have added sodium (ie Dasani water which right in the ingredients lists "water, salt") I only drink water from my brita filter. Could it be because I don’t drink enough water regularly?

Expect talking to home owner!

I have read in the Dasani’s bottles (a Coca Cola citrus soda) that it reads "low levels of sodium", but what does it suppose to mean? Is it something dangerous to drink to much sodium? What are the consequences of it? I have drunk a lot of that soda and well i wonder if it really is safe. I have heard about kidney stones, carcinogic facts. What can you tell me about this specific soda. Thanks in advance.

What kind of bottled water do you like?

Although water, for the most part tastes the same, but some water has sodium in it. Where I live, iI enjoy Fiji bottled water and Smart water. I hate Dasani because it tastes like seawater!

I know that mineral water has no calories, but there is higher amount of sodium and carbonation. Just want to see if that had any adverse effect while playing sports at night.

I have hard water so I bought a water softner which puts salt in the water that comes out of all the faucets, showers, etc in my house. I spend lots of money buying bottles of water because I can’t drink the water that comes out of my sink because it tastes weird (there’s lots of sodium in it). A Pur or Brita water filter (while good at taking lots of other sediments and stuvff out) still leaves the salt in water and it still tastes weird. So is there anything that specifically takes the salt back out that my water softener puts into my tap water?
