In my kitchen the spout doesn’t leave me enough room to put a pitcher underneath the water spout. Instead of replacing the whole faucet handles and all, can I just unscrew the spout and replace it with a curved one that gives more clearance? I don’t care if it matches the handles or not.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can slow down the flow of water from my filter? I would like a gentle flow. Something that will make it as still as possible.
Tommy: Do you mean the intake tube that is in the water? Around the barrel shaped strainer?
You’ve got me thinking.. Could I put pantyhose around the spout that spits the water out? Can anyone think why this would hurt?

I have a regular 5 gallon water cooler with the non-refillable bottles (they have to be exchanged) I noticed there are smaller water coolers designed for counter tops. Are there smaller water coolers like this, 1-2 gallons, that I can fill with another liquid, like kool-aid?
I like that idea of the container with the spout, and understand the sticky sugar situation, but they don’t make coolers specifically designed for this?

I have a new auger bucket (January) . My Freezer is completely empty of all foods, I replaced the water line (December) below the vegetable bin in the Refrigerator. I just had a Culligan 2-stage water filtration system installed on the water line going into the refrigerator.
The water coming out of the spout tastes fine. When I make ice cubes from the RO unit at the sink the ice tastes fine. The ice coming from the ice maker though still tastes bad almost like a penicillin taste especially when the ice thaws in a glass of water. Any ideas?

My faucet is not a standard sized faucet and does not fit the Brita or PUR ones found at stores. The spout is just a little too big. What water filter will fit?

If you have a single handle faucet (Peerless Brand) & it is leaking at the spout where the water comes out & the set screw is stripped & cracked & you can’t get it out. Do you drill the set screw out or do you buy a new faucet?

Need help ASAP….We have a Delta Single Lever faucet in our kitchen that as of yesterday lost water pressure. It has an aerator built into our PUR filter which I removed to check if that was the problem. There was some sediment built up, but with the entire filter and aerator removed there is still no pressure. Every other line in the house, including the bathroom toilet and sink in the next room over function perfectly. Can anyone suggest where I can look next to possibly fix this problem?
Checked the valves under the sink….doesn’t seem to be a problem there.
As far as a cartridge is concerned, I am not quite sure there is one….when I removed the housing I found the metal ball beneath the cam and the support springs (which all seemed fine). I am in the middle of trying to run a thin plumber’s snake through each side (hot and cold) but it makes little sense that I should lose water pressure on both lines, right?
Okay….under last suggestion pulled up spout and found diverter…how do I know if it is stuck and if stuck how do I make it unstuck? It does look like there is a build up of sorts so should I use a cleansing agent (like CLR) to brush it up?
New development…
Checked diverter….found some strange black stuff (rocks? rubber?) blocking its movement. Removed the blockage. Went back and reassembled faucet by the letter…springs and all…turned water back to full open on both valves and used the top of the faucet ball to turn on water…water came out full blast and let it run for two minutes to be sure…reattached lever handle (had some trouble here) but turned water on again and the pressure went for about ten seconds before disappearing altogether…barely a dribble. Went back and checked for blockage at diverter again and none found. Followed steps back to reassemply and got pressure for ten seconds before it seemed as though lever (or something inside it/beneath it) came loose again and pressure left. I know I have tightened everything properly so where could the problem be? The lever AND the diverter maybe?

I had a PUR filter on my sink for about a year before it started falling apart and spewing water everywhere, tried the Brita pitcher and that also started leaking near the spout a month after I purchased. Im tired of spending money on these crappy products. I would buy a filter for the entire house but we rent. Whats the ultimate in home water solution that is fail proof? All I drink is water so I need something that works.
I know there are filters for your spout, as ive mentioned ive tried it already and it did not work well. Will the reverse osmosis system by Brita not fail on me like every other filter ive used? What exactly is it?

I have several Tide laundry detergent bottles that have the push-button dispenser on them (similar to culligan water dispensers), and I am trying to figure out how to reuse them. Any ideas? I want to put the spout to good use.
I don’t want to put water in them, fyi.
Also, I considered simply buying more laundry detergent that doesn’t come with a dispenser and refilling this one, but I always get the same size because it is cheaper to buy the larger one, so my new laundry detergent always comes with a dispenser.

I want to bottle water outdoors. Is there a good filter that will connect to an outdoor spout?

I just purchased a home and noticed that the ice and water for my Kenmore refrigerator are not working. I checked all of the water lines to make sure they weren’t frozen. It still didn’t work. So I pulled the refrigerator out and unhooked the main water line behind it from the spout. If I turn the knob to the on position nothing comes out. Where would I go in my house to get water running to this?

Our water source is deepwell and we have spring water. Spring water accumulates white minerals or substance that sticks on the kettle as we boil it. What’s the best thing to do except scratching it with steel brush. The spout is almost covered by white substance and covers the holes which flows small water when I pour it. It’s hard to clean because I have to punch it with small pointed object to eliminate or lessen it. Have you any idea?

I have a Whirlpool under the sink water filter system. The spout on top of the sink has become loose, but to tighten the wing nuts holding it on, I need to remove the tube coming from the filter. Can I remove the tube and reinsert it without losing the seal?
It connects by pushing the tube in and it automatically locks in place.
